First time on your channel and I liked your video and everything you said and I subscribed and can't wait for your next video. Everything you said is true. Things got to a point where whenever I see a woman in the cover of a movie I give up on seeing the movie, cause if it's a movie from 2015 forward, chances are will be woke. I'm a gay man and I dislike so much the wokeness that we live in. I'm starting to watch older movies that I never seem before from the 90s, in order to find something good and not woke. Rarely nowadays we have a movie that it isn't woke. The failure of the Marvels is specially funny because they made a woke movie for women to watch and now that they didn't they're blame men, saying that men should have watched. But no man, gay or not, will want to watch a movie where women hate men. Men doesn't want to watch chick flicks unless they think they have a chance to get their girlfriend or date to bed. That's the truth. So, if Disney wants men to buy movie tickets they have got to start making movie for men. Making comic books movies for women is not lucrative cause all they do is to complain about lack of minorities and patriarch stuff, but they don't watch the movies or even buy the comics. Disney must think. "Do I want the majority of people to buy tickets or do I want the minority of people buying tickets? If they want the minority, they can keep doing what they did with The Marvels. But if they want the majority of people they need to start focusing on pleasing the men who'll watch these movies. Straight men can be polite with gay man of couse, but they don't want to see gay men kissing. I'm gay and I understand that. So, if marvel want straight men buying their tickets they have got to KNOW their own audience. Don't do woke stuff.

About Scott Pilgrim Takes off, I get why people aren't happy with the plot twist, I even got mad when Ramona replaced him as the main character on episode 2 myself, but, episode by episode, the show started to grow on me. The comics are all about Scott realizing he is an asshole, accepting his past mistakes and growing as a person, we see Ramona go through some character development as well, but since the comics are focused on Scott it doesn't feel as impactful when she finally notices a pattern in her life and stops running away from her problems and fears. In the show we learn a lot about the evil exes and other characters that are part of Scott's life. Sure, I wish we'd have seen more of the titular character, It's a Scott Pilgrim show after all, we expect to see none other than Scott Pilgrim as lead role! But, as someone who's read the comics and watched the movie more than a few times over the years, encourage fans to give it a chance. Like I said, I understand why some people would get pissed when Ramona suddenly went from romantic interest to main character and drop it, but I think the show can please both comics and movie fans! It's not a perfect show and I actually dislike episode 5, but, that one episode aside, I had a good time and I look forward for future Scott Pilgrim projects!

The reality is that we need different points of views, medias all have the same view points and so made themselves irrelevant because what's the point on following them all if they all think the same? A healthy society needs debates, points from left and right and center, and every citizen can choose what they want most, but the left tried to completely silence anyone not conforming with their exact views, they tried to paint everyone who doesn't think exactly the same way as a far right danger to society. I consider myself center-right, i probably would've been center-left a few decades ago but now what the left has become is absolutely crazy.

Disney's problem is that their product has become politicized. I'm fairly neutral when it comes to all these politics that are present in the film industry as of late. I just enjoy a good movie. I enjoyed Captain Marvel, I enjoyed The Black Panther, I will probably enjoy the Marvels if I get around to watching in the theatre, but what I don't like is being told that if I don't watch or like a certain movie, that I am a misogynist or a racist, or toxic, or whatever else. The SECOND an actor or studio throws something like that out in the media, my immediate reaction is to not want to watch the film. It's human nature. People don't like being told what to do and they don't like being coerced into doing something based on guilt. At that point, it doesn't matter if the movie is good or not, you've created a negative attitude towards your product.

But hey if you watch it and still don't end up liking it, that's completely fine.
@Embrace-The-Dork-Side11 ай бұрын
@@BluGuyEX I liked aspects of it, but I just couldn't get over the initial disappointment. Every piece of promotional material was almost beat for beat from the comics, strongly implying a (at least somewhat) faithful adaptation. That's deceptive marketing and Netflix shouldn't be rewarded for it. I also thought that they missed the entire point of the series, sure the Exes got their redemption, but Scott and Ramona are still ultimately hosed as a couple because Scott never goes through his hero's journey, so he's still the selfish jerk he was at the beginning. The time travel/multiverse/timeline crap is also disgustingly played out. So much so, that I could only roll my eyes through most of the final episode. I did appreciate getting side characters who never met in the comics to interact, though. GideonxJulie ftw!

The entire point of the movies for most of us, is seeing our childhood hero’s coming off the comic book pages onto a movie screen. The source material is abundant and full of quality storytelling. They decided to throw it all to the wind in an attempt to push an agenda through our beloved hero’s. They wanted to push an agenda. So, they searched for something popular and getting the attention of everyone - because their agenda would get more views. They found it in Star Wars and Marvel. Now we have are left with destroyed characters, destroyed storylines, and destroyed faith in humanity. They used our love for something positive and inspiring - to tarnish family values, relationships between men and women, society’s view of men, and feminine women. This is not the stories of hero’s struggling through daily life while also fighting against the forces of the current evil situation. This is an activism propaganda brochure said through the voice acting of paid political actors. And we see it for what it is - not a movie. It used to be advertising was free and paid for by the advertising company. It was something we had to endure at the beginning of our paid for movie or during commercial breaks at home on tv. Now they expect us to give up our money to watch 1 1/2 to 3 hour advertisements on how they want to restructure our society. We aren’t buying it . . . the tickets, or their view of society.
