We know John went inside and descended stairs based on his Apple Health data on his cell. Karen saw him walk to the door, and all witnesses saw Karen alone in the car, and John's body wasn't on the lawn. Lucky Lauchran drove by at 2:30 and 3:30, and there was no body on the lawn. At 3:30, a light colored Ford Edge (Colin's car) was parked at the spot where John's body would later be found. Independent biomechanical engineers proved it was scientifically impossible for John's body to have ended up where it was found due to being struck by Karen's car, and the damage to the car wasn't caused from hitting John.

Lack of chain of custody, written reports, proper police procedure, items entered into evidence were major issues that any police cadet would find abhorrent and suspect. The judges instructions to jury, no written transcripts for read backs to jurors, verdict form with only Guilty on lesser included charges sets up the jury for Hung or Guilty verdict.

Proof beyond "reasonable" doubt only applies when jurors aren't UNREASONABLE! For an effective jury panel, most people lack the requisite emotional intelligence to be fair & the ability to give someone grace in times of trauma or grief. They don't realize that people all respond differently when experiencing trauma, or that "not crying during the trial" isn't an indication of guilt. The lunatics who hear factual, credible, common sense evidence that the car didn't strike a person - and John's injuries weren't caused by a car - from the best independent experts in the nation used by the DOJ & NHL...and _still_ refuse to accept their testimony as true - are serving on juries & putting innocent people in prison ALL over...ALL the time. So, _why_ is this our chosen justice system? Any of us could be imprisoned for something we didn't do because of those people. There are countless examples of this happening to people who were later exonerated upon further investigation. We cannot stand for this. I don't want these people on my jury if I'm ever falsely accused of a crime! I don't want my freedom taken because of a few people's blind faith in law enforcement or critique of my facial expressions. Why do we put such an important decision in the hands of a jury with NO prerequisite IQ, education, life experience, or proven open-mindedness? Why wouldn't potential jurors have to pass a thorough screening interview, mental health assessment, psychological evaluation, or emotional intelligence screening? We all agree that our current system is wrought with human error & bias, yet we've done nothing to correct it in over 200 years! Without enacting a more rigorous jury screening process, here's how we could improve the process to ensure defendants receive the benefit of the doubt while preventing wrongful convictions: A "guilty" verdict must be unanimous. A 10-2 or 11-1 "not guilty" verdict is an acquittal. That way, 1 or 2 "unreasonable" people won't cause a mistrial!

All I know is that self professed "experts" have given flawed testimony for years. Like bite mark analysis. I don't know too much about the experts in this case but I would be surprised if they ever put their expert abilities to work in rigorous blinded studies. That does not seem to be a characteristic of these types of experts, instead it's more of a theater.

However, in this specific case, and these particular Arcca experts, they have been verified and are from an elite, top-of-the-line agency. They weren't part of the massive number of fake experts currently testifying throughout the country.

A "deeply held belief", as the hold out juror described, is contradictory to an objective and impartial evaluation of facts and evidence. Emotions have no place in a court room. Shame on the hold out juror, possibly #7.

IMO, this case will be dismissed without prejudice but will never go to re-trial. For Karen that will be a life sentence of never-ending stress and will certainly negatively affect her illnesses.

@@bocephus124 MSP is covering their axx mode. Their attorneys are trying to mitigate the financial and political fallout. Proctor will be transferred to behind the scenes job until this blows over. MSP will drag this out partly due to the union and media etc.
