Massachusetts Home Tiki Bar [Mysterion cocktail]

My buddy, Rick, has the beginnings of what will become a great tiki bar. His collection of vintage Polynesian pop as well as authentic pacific island artwork is incredible. Here's a first look at it and a discussion about tiki in the New England region.
To make the the drink in the video you will need:
--------------------------------------
1 oz lime
1 1/2 oz mango nectar
1 1/2 oz pineapple juice
1 1/2 oz orgeat
1 oz simple syrup
1 1/2 oz Appleton Signature
1 1/2 oz Don Q Silver
--------------------------------------
Build in a cocktail shaker. Add ice and shake. Pour contents into a double bucket glass.

Bought me back when you guys mentioned the Hilltop Steakhouse and all the little funky unique places on Route 1. Loved this episode!! And I’m with you, Cape Cod is a very special place for us as well.

My father-in-law ran the butcher shop at the Hilltop for decades beginning in the 70s. Sad to see it go. They catered our wedding in 2009, and Kow Loon provided the spring rolls. (I grew up on South Shore in Halifax, now live on North Shore near NH border.) Cheers.

Was very interested in his shirt. My buddy just discovered the deepest known ship wreck last year, the USS Johnston, but they went back out to the Pacific recently and they found a deeper wreck, the USS. Samuel B. Roberts....which is now the deepest known shipwreck on earth.

Great stuff. I live on the North Shore, up near NH border. My home bar does a lot of legit tiki, and I usually stock over 30 different rums (over 200 bottles overall). I would not say my bar is a tiki bar, but I do put 1 classic tiki cocktail on the specials each month. Cheers!
