I just watched an interview this afternoon on a British television channel, with founder of Palestinian action - Huda Ammori ! She expressed today that most of the claims about Oct 7 can be debunked. Nothing in this documentary seems likely to be debunked , except for one thing I’ll mention in a sec. But I felt this was well done and I’m glad I watched and I can’t imagine the horror of the thousands of atrocities that undoubtedly took place that day. Unfortunately there have been maaany things that have been/are being claimed/not talked about that have been debunked or brought to light. One, which this documentary knowingly or unknowingly puts foreword is widespread rape. Though it seems entirely possible that some rape could have taken place, there has so far been nearly zero evidence. Other claims put forward that were thoroughly debunked even by Israeli media were 40 babies, mutilated babies, baby cut out wombs etc. This was repeated multiple times by even Biden, never corrected it. A horrible total of 2 babies died - one that died in a safe room and an yet unborn baby whose mother was shot. Bless their souls. Another bit of fact that Hamas runs with and over exaggerates is that fact that there were at this point at least a small minority of Israelis killed by Israelis soldiers, tanks, helicopters. Many of these cases were done knowingly - necessary or not? I don’t know, but fact. The blew up many cars carrying hostages and at least one home knowing there were both terrorists and Israelis inside. Unfortunately these actual lies allow Hamas to exaggerate to try and gloss over the horrors they actually committed. Other than Hamas everyone I see ‘denying’ that day are merely trying to separate the lies from truth - especially because the main stories that were constantly repeated in order to whip up support for hitting Gaza as relentlessly as possible were actually those lies I mentioned above. Mesmerising… how these young people will ever recover from this I do not know, but I hope one day they can let go of the fear and the pain that they must live through everyday. Every story I hear about this day leaves me feeling completely sick, and I do not know how many times I have cried over this event, but a lot. This massacre, the subsequent war which has broken out and the amount of backlash the Israeli government, IDF and the antisemitism that is spiralling out of control around the world, has really made me realise that their are a lot of ignorant, hostile, angry, stupid, hateful people out there that really do not care about peace or about taking the time to search for the truth.
