Just a note to add to remind people that the 5.11 pants roots are rock climbing. The pants were originally invented and made by a man called Royal Robbins for rock climbing. I bought my first pair at REI in Seattle. 5.11 refers to the hardest climb in rock climbing. Their first tactical use was when the FBI stood up their hostage rescue team when they found their great utility for use. I still have a pair of the originals.

5.11 Tactical Nut Crushers. I bought two different pair hoping to find a comfortable model. They were okay standing straight up but squating or crouching brought instant pain. My brother had just retired from the Army and working at a large LGS. He highly recommended Blackhawk Lightweights. That was great advice and I was in love and stocked up. Luckily I did because they're not in production. They were a little spendy depanding on the source but not much more than Nut Crushers. Oh and they are the best pants in summer heat. I think the real problem is 5.11 are not cut for muscular thighs. So when I squat or crouch the thighs pull up and tighten any loose fabric. Any rate no more money to 5.11.

The best fitting, cool in summer, stain resistant are Blackhawk. I've got multiple brands of cargo pants but Blackhawk Lightweight are the best. Learned the hard way that 5.11 pants don't work unless I stand straigh and don't flex like crouch or squat which then crushes the jewels.

I once went to a corporate event wearing cargo pants, just because of the practicality of carrying all my stuff in pockets instead of in a man purse or back pack. Well, wouldnt you think, the under cover rookie security lady gave me the look as if she thought I was a potential "active shooter" (Those guys have been known to be kitted out with cargo pants). Sometime the look on someones face says a thousand words. So, just to make her at ease, I said hello and introduced myself. The pockets are generous and I pocket carry a Hellcat with an optic. Great video. Love Masaads videos as well as Kens. I found some great cargo / tactile pants for summer believe it or not at Walmart. They are made of stretchy nylon and have two side pockets and they are cool in the summer and dry quickly if wet. I also have a few pair of BDU pants for winter and summer in rip stop. Hip holster for pistol on string side and another for cross draw which I've come to love, but must dress around both. I use the cross draw while in a car because it's easier to get to and stable. I think I'm going to get either a Walther 380 for ankle holster or a Glock 43 .. I am putting together a safety kit to carry in my fanny pack which is small and leather which will carry a tourniquet and bleeding gauze as well as stop bleeding powder, etc. Just in case. Extra magazines on hip for Glock 19 or whatever you like. along with strong side holster or cross draw.. Can't beat it.. I live in rural Indiana where we don't need a permission slip to protect ourselves. Same town as the guy that shot the greenwood criminal who murdered some people and would have killed more of not for our hometown hero.. God bless guys. Be safe and well. You add value to my life and thank you for that. ❤

There is a brand of cargo pants called "Genuine Gear" that has cargo pockets that are sewn onto the legs at the sides and bottoms that make for open-top inner pockets underneath the regular velcro-flapped cargo pockets. I use this open-top pocket to carry my Hellcat with red dot and green laser in a Remora sticky holster. It just drops into the pocket, is held in place upright, and places the pistol only about 2" below my hand, yet makes it completely invisible unless looking directly down into the pocket, which no one does. Makes for a quick draw with no messing with pocket flaps or buttons, and completely conceals the weapon even when just wearing a t-shirt in the AZ summer. A knife pocket is ideal for a spare magazine, and I keep my cell phone in my off-hand pocket where, like the pistol, all I have to do is reach down and pluck it out to use it. 👍👍👍
