Lost my job due to COVID-19 and now I'm thinking about a career change. Massage therapy has been something I felt was interesting for some time. Maybe nows the time to take the plunge. Thank you for your informative video!

I recently finished massage school and tried to get a massage job during this pandemic. It was at a chiropractic clinic and she tried to underpay me $15 an hour. I had to turn her down because that’s ridiculously LOW. Massage Envy pay way higher! What I’m trying to say is, chiropractic settings generally pay more than spa settings but spa settings get consistent tip.

bro. i used to work at a law firm in chicago, moved to oregon to work in the cannabis industry, found it wasn't really for me, and never in my wildest dreams would i EVER think of becoming a massage therapist until i gave a few ex-gfs and actually a male friend of mine (hey don't judge me lol) a careful lil session and the emphatic insistence that they gave me to consider massage therapy school is really pushing me towards doing so. i always loved doing it because i seem to have some weird "intuition" wherein i can like..."feel" what the client is feeling in my own body when i'm performing if that makes sense...? it always was really interesting to me so to have so many people over the past few years encourage me to do so i'm heavily considering it. i even have a sister who is a physical therapist so i'd totally have someone to bounce ideas off of (i hope, haha)! anyway, i made a little playlist of videos to watch about the career and while i may have written a few sentences down for the other videos i watched i jotted down TWO pages from this video alone and had to constantly pause because your information is incredibly helpful and you're a very engaging speaker--yes, despite your congestion :^) thanks again, man. subbed and excited to explore the rest of the knowledge you have to give out on your channel!

I have been considering going to massage school for several years now, and just as I was getting closer to pull the trigger, and as my best friend went to school and is now completed his program and doing fairly well for himself. I actually ended up fracturing my proximal phalanx of my pinky finger and it healed with a malunion. I had to get several x-rays and CT scans and I feel like my hand has a lot more information and arthritis already setting in. However there is a part of me that thinks maybe Doing that massage therapy program could actually be better for my hand in someway. Because I am getting more exercise for it. I’ve always enjoyed learning about natural alternative remedies through herbalism as well as essential oils. I know they have different techniques where you can limit the use of your hands and also use other parts of your body like your elbows or even bamboo etc. i’m not sure I have such a good opportunity to go to school in Texas because it’s so close to where I’m at. Plus it’s a very affordable program. I just don’t know if I’m ready to commit to that yet. I would look at doing massage more like a side hustle part-time on the evenings and weekends around a full or part-time job at hopefully offers benefits. In regards to salary, I feel like some massage therapist I like teachers, some teachers make a lot more than they lead you want to believe. My friend just finished school and is making $80 an hour. Soo the sky’s the limit man. If your personable you can hopefully build client list by going to gym and prospecting. I’d hopefully never work for those bs slave mills of massage envy. Taking allllll that profit from you. Absurd. Maybe If it’s better than having rent at an office sure but I doubt it. He found an studio for about $500 a month to rent

Your videos are helping me more and more about the career choice I'm making. One question if you have time to answer, I understand being in business for myself is good but would sports therapy be a good financial option as well? I would love to combine my career with a hobby I love as well.
