Massed Bands lead the parade through Stonehaven in Scotland marching to War Memorial Commemoration

Drum Majors lead the parade as it marches out from Market Square in Stonehaven, Aberdeenshire, Scotland. This was the start of the parade as they set off to the summit of Black Hill for the Stonehaven & District War Memorial Commemoration and Rededication Ceremony (1923-2023) on Saturday 20th May 2023.
The massed bands were led by Drum Majors Robb Cumming and Rob Brownfield and the bands taking part included members of Newtonhill Pipeband, Lonach Pipe Band, Banchory Pipe Band, Howe O' The Mearns Pipe Band, Granite City Pipes & Drums, Grampian District Pipes and Drums and Lathallan School Pipe Band.
Following them were standard bearers from the Royal British Legion Scotland (RBLS), the Lord Lieutenant of Kincardineshire Alastair Macphie, civic representatives, members of local Armed Forces Cadet services, veterans and community groups. The event was organised by the Stonehaven Royal British Legion Scotland (RBLS).
