Some additional facts about Salarians - Salarians function on just one hour of sleep a day - Salarians have photographic memories, this helps them remember their long names and their large numbers of family names According to Mordin Solus, many Salarians believe in a spiritual notion of multiple lifetimes known as the "Wheel of Life". It is likened to Hinduism in its focus on reincarnation Salarians like their wars won before they start. They consider the human doctrines of "do not fire until fired upon" and "declare a war before prosecuting it" to be incredibly naive. In every war the Salarians have fought, they struck first, and completely without warning

The only thing I wish you'd mentioned was the selection of the first spectre, who was a Salarian named Bilo Girje. He was selected after using 30 civilians as bait to flush out an assassinate his target. Instead of being prosecuted, as he expected, he was instead chosen to found the Special Tactics and Reconnoissance Group. Called it, "The best job offer in the galaxy."

Joshua Alexander I actually agree. They are the most intelligent and most versatile. They have the best scientists and they ha e motherfuckin STG. The only other living race that seems to have the same kind of diversity in talents is the humans. They also have amazing scientists and soldiers, as well as a large fleet.

Mordins sacrifice scene is one of few times playing a video game where I felt truly connected to the character, tearing up and feeling proud to know him. Perfectly executed scene.

BFrounks With out Wikipedia, codex etc. Virgil said they were possible the first Indoctrinated race but instead of being hostile responded well to it so instead of being assimilated into a Reaper were left to operate and monitor the Citadel!

TNASTY6688846993 I google it and seems like is the common cavity into which the intestinal, urinary, and generative canals open in birds, reptiles, amphibians, many fishes, and certain mammals, as well i read one referencing cloaca as a sewer pipe thing. So i'm thinking that, cloaca is the way salarians call each other assholes. based on this that shadow broker dossiers of Solus makes so much sense.

Loved the video, but one thing: (spoiler for mass effect 3) Kirrahe technically appears very briefly in a third mission, during the Cerberus invasion of the Citadel if he is alive and you do not meet Thane Krios prior to the attack.

While there are some jerk salarians (*cough* Dalatrass *cough*) the good and admirable ones make up for it. Mordin is one of my top favorite characters, but I also like Kirrahe and even the fellow spectre Jondum Bau. I really like the salarians!

If I could choose a species to be in the mass effect universe it would most likely want to be Salarian. As far as class I'd be a infiltrator. (on a side note, are there any Salarian biotics? As science driven as they are I would think they'd find a way to implement it somehow, but I know some species don't take too biotics as well and thinking about it I can't remember any in the trilogy)

I am actually quite sad we don't get any real insight on the salarian point of view over the Genophage, since Mordin is clearly part of the krogan's plotline, and he justifies his work on it by science rather than culture. Which is nice and interesting. And I really love Mordin, but I wish we had some other character we could bound with that would provide valid reasons onto why salarians really don't want the genophage to be cured (because the Dalatrass was badly written in my opinion, used as a "Renegade" button more than anything else, and her reasons were presented quite stupidly). We have plenty of reasons to root for the krogans : Wrex, Grunt, usual badassery, drama every time we meet a krogan, even Mordin actually. I wish we would have been given a bit more to root for salarians as well in this conflict.
