Great engine,had four over the years two were awful starters but pulled like trains,the best way is fit an Iskra geared starter.

@@stuartpowe5577 no x2 699s and x2 399s,have a 6.354.4 in the shed I'm looking out for a tractor to put it in.

The gearbox breather right above the starter dos`t do the starter any favours.
