I’ve got two 3 bottom Kvernlands, and I want to fix up the best style. One is like yours with leaf springs and the other one has coil springs for trips. Do you know what style people like best? My ground is clay, rolling hills, not too rocky. Thanks!

We've had good luck with this one, I really couldn't tell you which is better though, before this one we just had a fixed 3 furrow Kverneland. Never been around a coil spring trip plough.

Almost like me 2 days ago, MF 3085, 4 furrow Kverneland and plenty of rocks here too!

+MFV8 Nice. How does it like the 4 bottom?
@MFV88 жыл бұрын
With ease, could probably pull 5 furrows most of the time. Used to pull 4 furrow reversible with it until I got the 6280.

you guys love your Massey's how many masseys do you have. I am from PEI and love them older masseys tractors myself. ever see a Massey 3050 before, I see one for sale back few year ago it was in N.S.

+Robbie Moore we have 7 Massey farm tractors, and a couple old Massey garden tractors. I do remember seeing a 2wd 3050 or 3060 for sale in NS somewhere maybe 2 or 3 years ago. None of the 3000 series are very common. Our 3650 and 1135 both came from PEI originally.

you don't have skimmers on your plough, is that by choice? Nice plough by the way

Thanks, it just has the coulters that’s how it came when we bought it.

First time I see a plow video of yours, the plow is tough, are you going to pick-up rocks? Very nice.
@macfarms8 жыл бұрын
+Jan Kotze yeah we'll have to pick up the rocks the harvester would have a hard time with them lol I'll have videos of that too. Probably just going to pick off the big stuff this fall then finish it off in the spring
@jankotze19598 жыл бұрын
Thanks, that will be great to see.

Do you have to plow like that every year or is that a new field that you want to plant?
@macfarms8 жыл бұрын
+Blake B every 3 years or so we plough up the field and replant. All the fields are on a rotation to we aren't ploughing the whole farm every year. Every year your yield will be less, if you don't plough it up and replant it then you aren't getting the most out of the land.

growing rocks is easy... hahaah nice to see a plowing video some of them that I watched there ant a pebble in sight, witch would be nice but I have not plowed any dirt like that. those plows handle that ground well
@macfarms8 жыл бұрын
+FarmerJHowell haha yeah we got plenty of rocks here, mostly bigger ones in this field though. The trip plough is a must for around here, regular plough would put you through the windshield lol
@farmerjacked90798 жыл бұрын
Ground don't look to wet after all the rain but it looks awfully rocky from all the rocks lol
@macfarms8 жыл бұрын
+Farmer Jacked few big rocks but not many small ones in this field. Pulling up more rocks with the 4wd compared to the 2wd.
@farmerjacked90798 жыл бұрын
Yea I cringed when I seen the big ones pop out and the springs pushed to the max lol
@macfarms8 жыл бұрын
+Farmer Jacked lol they didn't have a trip plough at one time, must have been interesting lol Even with the trip plough the 4253 would still get stopped by the odd rock just because it would spin. 3070, not so much.
@farmerjacked90798 жыл бұрын
Yea that tractor handles it much better lol how does he like it?
@macfarms8 жыл бұрын
+Farmer Jacked seems pretty happy with it. Less wheel slip, you probably couldn't get out there ploughing now with the 2wd
