we are rebuilding a steering box on an 1964 Massey Ferguson 35 diesel tractor with the aid of cruce automotive machine shop

i build guitars, which is pretty darned tedious. got to tell you, man. you have the patients of JOB. kudos, and thanks for your generosity. also, enjoy your demeanor as you face these things. i have 3 of these, one of them, i learned how to drive on, at 10. i am 56. i have another one that i picked up yesterday, which is not running, and another one that is running. looking forward to learning about these tractors. thanks again.

as complicated as this job is i am amazed at your eye for detail..doing the little things that will mean big things if you screw up..and no mention of a repair manual..it is like you have done this many times..just incredible job..and i enjoyed every step of the way...

hey, better to adjust the free play on full lock where least wear is, if you do it in centre where there is wear when you turn to full lock it will bind up.Also build lightly oiled as lubrication is gear oil ep90 not grease. link to pt 5 kzbin.info/www/bejne/n6jdYWuVmK9mm8U

I did the exact same thing when I was rebuilding my Steering box. I crushed both of those thrust bearings. Is there a part number for those bearings? I have to buy more and don't want to buy the whole repair kit!
