RnK All Day loved this in every way. Have you checked in with KZbin about hitting your 100K? I ask because they don’t always twig to it and send the button. You are still growing very quickly now...already 101K and that is just the start. This was old school RnK at its best...missing only Kristy to have been perfect. Peace.🖤🇨🇦

You are always careful about saying where you're exploring so I wonder if you always know the background on them. This building has a lot of history with the opening being April 29, 1904 the day before the Worlds Fair began in St Louis. It was closed for good in 2006.

OMG is right!! Wow that apocalyptic floor was a shocker to say the least! I think a lot of homeless people have used this place! I can't believe you walked up all those flights just for us!! Amazing theater reminds me of the Aragon Ball Room in Chicago! I love the railing! Did anybody hear some one say "Jesus" when he showed that picture?? Oh yeah Robb, the doll flipped you the bird cause you called him creepy !! ha ha ha

I absolutely LOVED this one! It was like real old school RnK in every way. Your intros are serious these days...the way you are cutting footage together is perfect, but man that doll face threw me on the intro, you just HAD to put it there all surprising like didn’t you? Those long hall shots really were amazing, and gave a sense of the size and scope of this building. They weren’t bad apartments in their day, especially those with the full ceiling height left. There was a LOT of serious retro 60s/70s stuff in some of these places, especially the one with the modern yellow settee and the red art chair...those had some actual value. The decay on the 13th floor was epic! I love the contrast of that hall shot with all the peeling pain compared to the other floors. Not sure I could live with that bright orange room trim, but to each his own I guess. I KNOW that doll would have found its way into a well deserved grave...creepy thing, I’m not surprised they left it behind. That theatre/ballroom was stunningly beautiful...I wonder if it was used as a party space by the tenants, like they could rent it out for events unless it was kept separate as a per client rental. I know Kristy would be sad to have missed that part of the explore at the very least. Thanks for keeping it real, and hanging up that damned phone...you really rocked this one, and while your skills have clearly improved over time and effort on your part...this one captured that feel of your older pieces, a really great combination. You are still the best at what you do. Keep on keeping on, and stay safe out there.🖤🇨🇦

I don’t know why they can’t turn these abandon places especially ones like this for homeless shelters use them like hotels. If they help fix up the place they can stay for as long as they help. Fix these places up so they aren’t crumbling eye sores that are used by drug addicts. They can be the cleaning crew to pay for their room and board they can rent a lot of the rooms for lower rent. I don’t mean $965 a month for a 2 bedroom but if you get a roommate they raise the rent 25% and that’s low income in Denver they take most you get from disability and leave you a couple hundred for food, medical expenses, car insurance, gas along with all the other things a car insurance and after that you out of money for the rest of the month. Where there is more and more homeless people by the day and some are families, veterans and some that like living in a cardboard box. But there are people that this hotel and some of the mega mansions that the craftsmanship of some of them still have life left in them. Let the cities take them over they can find people that were down on their luck and need a helping hand. Throw fundraising events have everyone that’s going to live there make some kind of art that can be auction off. There are artists that are homeless do it like what habitat does. Use them like rehab or the mentally ill can get counseling and have a safe place to live. I’m just saying it can happen if you get the right people running it and find the way to fund it.

It won't work. The homeless are lazy and won't lift a finger to work. They would just destroy the building more than it already is.

Mike Croaro not all homeless are they could even turn it into a great retirement village. There would be like all places with the start up security and if they do anything to hurt what was done to the building they are out. Not all homeless are what you call lazy. Look at what habitat has done for people that need a leg up. I don’t know where you live but Denver there are so many people moving here from all over and are pricing us who have lived here for years. The new people are okay with the rent prices. My rent has gone up over a $100 a month in less than 6 months. That’s a lot especially when you are on total disability with a disease that no one really understands any thing about it. MS can play with your eye site one day next your legs or brain. Every day is a different situation and the one drug that puts me in remission for a few months is $49,000 for 8 shots you have to give to your self. It use to be sodium midral 1000 mg of steroids one each day for 5 days do you know what that stuff to your veins and the rest of your body. I had that once or twice a year for 13 years and the last 10 I had to put in my own cause the visiting nurses couldn’t get my veins. Because they were lazy all they had to so is to try 2 times then I would have had to go to the ER at a co-pay of $80. The I don’t know your situation but a little over 3/4 of my disability check goes for rent were I live is for low income I wouldn’t love to live at a place that only took 30% at the most 1/3 of my check maybe I could go out to lunch with my friends I don’t care if it was McDonalds. The money to get the money donations, volunteers go-funding sites. Like how Habitat is funded. They have like a Goodwill type store that sells things that you need for a home appliances, kitchen cabinets basically the stuff people who are remodeling donate the stuff they are replacing along with show homes my dad volunteer’s at one. He’s gotten anything you need to renovate a house, mountain bikes, musical instruments and even Hibiscus trees. All of that could get the renovations started. You Also get the hotels, motels, mega Mansions even houses. With a hotel and caught early from decay could be turned into a apartment or even condos that the funds from the sale can help with the repairs to. There could also have a little clinic to help when tenets aren’t feeling well, to basic first aid and even help with residents treatments like starting IVs and even giving them their shots. A resident that has any medical training could do their volunteer hours to live there doing that and other ways like maintenance and repairs to keep the place up, house keeping with a place as big as that hotel part can still be kind of a hotel but guest suite residence families can rent rooms when they sate in town and can also rent out that ballroom to help with the expenses. There are veterans, disabled, elderly along with homeless less people that care about how the place they live even people that can’t do much will do whatever they can if it helps to put a roof over them at a lower price. Just saying

There is historic hotel where I live similar to this one and they estimate it will take $60 million to bring it back to life as a hotel. Investors have raised 40 of the 60 needed but can't get anyone in for the remaining 20 and it's a for profit venture. No one is going to spend that on a homeless shelter or low income; it's simple economics. Your last sentence is absolutely correct though. We just don't live in that world anymore. ☹️

Great video. I wish you would have shown the elevator machine room. The top floor was probably numbered as 14 and not 13. That is not a theatre. It was the hotel ballroom. Many famous big bands played there and probably had radio remotes from that hotel. The ballroom may have also had an organ in it at one time. Many of them did. I wish you would have shown more detail of the antique radio that was in one of the rooms. Gary

Wow!!!! What a great video, Robb!! I was totally blown away by the architecture, styling of this once grand old 1904 Resort Hotel. Must be a heartbreaking for those residents to be evicted & leave their stuff behind, so sad....The theatre is a step back in time feel of when it was brand new, now decaying, left to rot. The Hotel can be saved but need BIG BIG DOLLARS to bring it back to it's former glory!! You're te best, Robb....Take care....

Robb, Cool building. That theater that you found was totally awesome I’m not quite sure what was with the swan head above the stage though. Lots of stuff from different decades there. The kitchens were all 1970s probably from when they converted it from a hotel to senior citizen apartments. The carpeting is from the 1970s, 80s, 90s, and even 2000s. Some of the apartments were renovated later, others not. But there is lots of older stuff too. Those red Exit signs are from the 1950s, or so. A lot of the electric and plumbing on the outside of the walls was added sometime after it was built. Originally the rooms probably didn't have any running water and only one or two ceiling lights. Everything else was added later.

found another video from a while ago. looks like there are homeless people living in there. I'm glad you have your mask on and not breathing that nasty stuff in. Another great video. loved it. sad that they had to move and that it is in such disrepair now.

My sister-in-law lived there around 2004 while she was going to St. Louis University. There have been multiple owners with multiple plans to renovate and reopen the Jefferson Hotel. Several companies never made it through the recession.

That hotel looks like it was beautiful in its heyday. Awesome job on this exploration! That doll in the opening scenes was spooky looking.
