Otters eat 25% of their body weight a day and can clean fish out of a small pond before you know they are there. You might want to rethink wanting them in your area. Just my opinion Lol.

Otters haven't been in my neck of the woods for over 100 years, but as of two years ago they were spotted about 20 miles away. I keep waiting for the day that I check a beaver trap and find one. Considering that I'm on the great lakes, it's 20 miles of all water, so it's just a short swim.
@330Maniac3 жыл бұрын
They most likely aren't that rare. Seeing them around here is extremely rare but there are thousands of them around here

Are 330s too much for an otter? Is there a higher risk of damaging fur offers 220 or 280?
@Northwoods2083 жыл бұрын
I catch them in 330's, fur damage isn't much different, I always put the trigger on the bottom when I can, that helps
@peterjones72883 жыл бұрын
Only problem I’ve ever seen with a 330 is depending on your trigger placement sometime they can slip through or you can get a hip catch. If I was targeting beaver only sometimes I would move the trigger to one side and bend one wire parallel to the bottom jaw

Are otters nuisance animals like beavers?
@nickyeary27273 жыл бұрын
Yes. Otters eat 25% of their body weight a day. If you have a small pond they will decimate the fish population in short order.
