Yeah these commentators are great. You don't have to be an amazing player to be a good commentator. Just with other sports/shows a commentator doesn't need to be a pro.

Not sure why Zane kept checking, not protecting his pair on the flop and turn..

That fold by Zane is very very tight. JD is repping AA, KK, QQ, AQ, occasionally KQ or a bluff basically. Unless he is checking range on this board, he shouldn't even have the full combos of those hands either since they likely c-bet the flop at some frequency, especially QQ. So he literally has the nut bluff catcher in this spot blocking AA and QQ and also probably the absolute top of his range the way the hand played. Additionally, he chops/beats some of the value like AQ or KQ even. You can also argue that maybe he doesn't have many bluffs either but realistically the value combos that actually beat AQ is like partials of AA and KK. If he even bluff a hand like KJ or AJ even 10% of the time you have a mandatory call.

Yeah, AQ can bet river there as a standard line, or check/call as an alternative if hero believes nobody has anything after the brick runout, but AQ is never, ever a check/fold as played.

Let QT barrel off brick rivers. Can’t be scared of monsters in the closet with top set, prob also doesn’t have a 3B bluffing range on turns. I think he played it fine, tough run out.
@kylez70023 жыл бұрын
I think a lot of people jam with aces there because they are very concerned about getting drawn out on. However, they are only thinking about part of the game tree. We are in position and block our opponents continuing range to a jam. Calling and giving our opponent the opportunity to bluff brick rivers wins the most in this particular spot. You're welcome for the free coaching. That will be 10 bucks please.
