I would love to see a video about maternity dresses that would also work if you weren’t pregnant (or things to look for/avoid in a dress that could work for both). For context: my friend just got married last month and I was 6 months pregnant. Due to sales and wanting to make sure the dresses were delivered in time and we had time to get alterations, we ordered dresses in early November (before I was pregnant) for her end of April wedding. I thankfully planned ahead and ordered a maternity dress from Azazie that would also be flattering if I wasn’t pregnant or was early in my pregnancy, but as someone looking to purchase a bridesmaid dress and trying for a baby, I found it difficult at the time knowing what to look for in case I was pregnant by her wedding. Also a video on pregnancy shapewear would have been great!! Hope that makes sense!!

Hey Jamie! I just wanted to come back here and say the biggest THANK YOU and CONGRATULATIONS on bb #4. I found your channel years ago while waiting on my then-boyfriend (now husband) to propose. I watched all your videos while waiting haha. Your wedding checklist and timeline was the biggest help. My wedding planner was so impressed with all of things I had prepared for her 😂. Can you make a video about getting the wedding dress. I plan to get pregnant, give birth and maybe be 6 months postpartum before my wedding. Not sure how I am going to go dress shopping and get all my tailoring done 😅 with my body going through so many changes.

Would you recommend going up a size to allow for alterations for all dresses, not just maternity?

I personally would always suggest picking a size based on your largest measurements and getting it tailored to fit better. That’s typically the way that formal dresses are ordered unless they’re made to measure (which is usually more expensive)

My bridesmaids dresses were from revelry and they were velvet and looked fantastic! They do let you try the dresses out before you buy. That way you can get the right fit.
