Massive Burn in My Seat!!!! Seat Heater Repair

After completing this job an hour ago and it not working I'm stumped only thing I can think of is the seat heaters I got were defective from factory I should have plugged them in before the disassembly 😅 I'll order new ones and do it again! Anyway writing this comment to say Congratulations you have THE MOST INFORMATIVE, Well spoken, well recorded video on this issue on all of KZbin. Great job explaining on the diagnosis and then the repair. 👏🏻

just get seat covers and put them under the covers ,thats what i did and they work great

I’m 4 years late 😂 Not really they aren’t scary. All oem or quality aftermarket pads have tiny thermistor inside pad that shuts off/turns on when it reaches programed temp. the $20 Chinese pads can be dangerous as those don’t have a thermostat.

I was thinking about installing after market seat warmers in the ol' YJ. After seeing your old crusty warmer and remembering how crusty my 28 year old interior is...I might not install one in hopes of not bursting in to flames 😂🤣🔥 enjoy your toasty buns!

@@jtmoffroad I'm probably gonna cheat and get a plug and play warmer on Amazon. Where I live it gets down to -40C ( go ahead and convert that on your own lol) and I'm pretty tired of a cold ass. All I have had for years are my morning farts to get me to work.

it look great. give the seat some time. after a few thousand miles, a few hundred farts, and some leather conditioner it will darken up.

When I push my driver side heater it doesn’t even turn on. No orange light at all. Do you still think it’s the element?

I unplugged my driver top element and pushed my passenger heater and it clicked off. Plugged driver top back into bottom and tried passenger. It worked as usual. That’s why I think my top element is bad. But is the no light normal?

My bottom has blister marks
