That GE radio you're unfamiliar with was cult following popular in the 80's. Had one left over from my mom, rocked it thru the mid 90's linked to a k40. I did no tinkering to it and it was a beast. Key up while driving and it would set off garage doors, car alarms, bleed over telephones. Had a lot of fun with it. Great piece until it died, lasted about 8 or 9 years of regular and daily use.

Hey thats great to know, Some people go crazy over the K40s. I always do a little research on these radios after I buy these lots but any extra information is always appreciated my friend. Thanks for commenting 👍

The Japanese radio looks like a Cybernet boarded one, but I could be wrong. It is styled like some radios we had here, except we had FM. Same style as the York brand. However, it is American radios and it could be anything inside them. That GEC is a bit of an odd ball set. Must have lots of screening inside, so will be hell to work on as it will be full of screening cans, either that or it will have a thin tin screen round it inside. Looks cute but.................! Have fun checking them all out.

Yeah probably does have a lot of metal sheets or foil around it. Unless there’s an entire metal chassis under the plastic Thanks for the information I’ll have to look up Cybernet

@@JohnnyNJones If you look up York 863 you will find it looks very much the same, but it will have the AM components inside, and of course chrome and not sprayed paint.

Cool haul, do you ever buy any of those old hand held cb’s or the ones that plug into the cigarette lighter

Yes occasionally I do If I plan on keeping a radio I put a cigarette lighter plug on it for quick installs I also have bought my fair share of handhelds I certainly like the ones that allow for BNC connectors so they could be installed to full sized antennas
