Same, although I still feed those who come to my backyard I don't keep them. They are likely to be long term lost, abandoned or feral because they aren't close to humans and they enjoy their outdoor time. Lots of cats are abandoned here after co. They don't mind me feeding them and sunbathing with me tho, just not my family members nor my neighbours. When I asked for help from a charity (I'm financially struggling as well) I got rejected. They told me they aren't feeding stray or feral unless I catch them and send them to their charity. So I decided not to reply to them and I received an angry message from them saying I have to bring them to them. Their shelter is full anyway, God knows what they're going to do with them if I did.

For those who buy the cheaper dry foods like Meow Mix and Friskies... As Dan noted, the Meow Mix 3.15lb bag is $6, which is about 20 to 40 cents less than most grocery stores. And the 6.3lb bags are $12.xx. So both are $2/lb. The grocery store I go to used to have the 6.3lb ones BOGO every so often. But then I checked walmart and saw that they sold the 30lb bags of Meow Mix for $29.xx, so just under $1/lb. I kept the last 5 6.3lb bags from when I bought them BOGO and just refill those bags with a 30lb bag. I use chip bag clips to keep them closed and fresh. I feed 4 stray cats, so one 30lb bag lasts a pretty long time, but I still keep 2 or 3 on hand in case a shortage happens in my area...

Part of the problem was the sizes of things like in the food aisle, were getting smaller and smaller A 12 oz bag of candy became a 10 oz than a 6 oz. Spices came in big containers, then they got smaller and smaller and some werent being restocked. So they raised the prices and brought in the higher priced items. But the cheapest of items never should of gone up, like notebooks, you can pick up for 25c in Sept is 1.25 and.never on sale. The confusion all the different pricing causes is overwhelming, I dont think they have sales and even after a holiday, they just remove the items (food they may discount). A better system would be to have $1.25 items on the bottom 2 shelves not next to each other. And to run sales on the other items once in a while. Ive only gone twice since the price change and they werent carrying what I wanted, or the item was much smaller. Their web site is a great tool for making a list but I find that my store and my shipping address can't get may items I would have bought. The second time I was there the store had only 4-6 shoppers. And I hadnt bought anything over 1.25

Being I recently worked there, I can tell you most employees don't take pride in putting things where they go. Dollar tree doesn't pay their employees very much and expects a lot. They even now took away the bells at the front counter. Yet still expect you to run a register all while putting out 28 boxes an hour. Then customers get mad cuz the cashier doesn't know they are there. They basically have you running around like a chicken with your head cut off. Our store manager was told she would have 2 full time managers along with 2 part time. Then was told oh no you only get 1 full time and 2 part time. So when shopping there, I would keep my expectations low. The company basically keeps all stores under staffed on purpose. I worked as a manager for several weeks without ever getting a pay increase and was expected to open and close but they never gave me keys yet. So the store manager would come unlock in the morning and lock up before the store closed. I still shop there, but I'm just saying don't expect much. And yes they are starting to put stickers on everything as people are getting confused. I would say before the end of next year everything will probably have one. I would say the one exception would probably be the vendor items. Such as name brand soda and drinks owned by Pepsi and coke and any chips that are name brand. Frito lay being the main one.

The price increases aren’t worth the trip anymore imho. I can get the same thing for only a few cents more at Walmart. As for the seasonal stuff, I did get the ornament picks for $1.25 but if those prices go up as well, I might as well shop where I had before DT. Now they’re just becoming another Family Dollar/Dollar General. Seems like it’s just a matter of time.

Thanks for this video. The mixing of the different products & prices will be $🌳's undoing. Nobody will want to go to the "Guess the Dollar Amt" store anymore. It seems a pointless waste to close Family Dollar stores, but turn a working franchise into another which they're closing up. Does that make sense??🤔🧐🤨😤 Anyways, there was a pole-mounted electric price checker (like they USED TO HAVE at Walmart, but took'm all down) at the soap aisle (@ 19:18), but you didn't mention it. Who knows if it would work, or show the correct price. If Walmart couldn't keep them updated, why should $🌳 be expected to be any different? I used to love going to $🌳, but I blv its time is up. Unless it goes back to the old "Only A Dollar!" slogan/format, folks will become disenchanted & refuse to frequent the stores anymores.😒

It's crazy! It's going to be so confusing and we go to Dollar Tree for dollar items. This is just like Family Dollar or Dollar General. DO NOT LIKE IT! Some enterprising person should open a new Dollar Store. I love that Dollar Tree has more variety and better quality items with the $1.25 prices, but all these other prices are absolutely crazy, and have now gone to Dollar General and Family Dollar for some of the same items for less because they will only charge $1.00. They are about to lose this faithful shopper I fear. Also, I'm really tired of going into the store and leaving early every time due to none of them running their air conditioners and in the south the stores get too warm to be in with no air circulating, so our shopping is always cut short. Yes, would love to see a Christmas video, Danno!
