Vinegar does work but best to soak some tissue with it and leave it wrapped on the taps overnight, I've seen where you can put vinegar in a little bag and hang it on the tap overnight emersed tied on with an elastic band comes off a treat the next day

Hi Emma! I’ve had a lovely time binge watching your last few videos😊, we were on holiday in Wales last week, the phone signal wasn’t great so hot spotting my phone to the iPad was very hit and miss so I figured I’d wait till we were home. It was so lovely to see you, my goodness but you were motoring through your daughters bedroom, with her valuable help of course. Kitchen is looking good, living room too. I’ve a Dyson vacuum like yours, I bought a couple of generic filters for it from Amazon, worked a treat. Now I’ve one to pop in when the other is dirty and doing the on-off thing. Hi Emma,im guilty of keeping all my daughters Sylvanian toys for over 35 yrs,much joy it being had introducing them slowly bit by bit to her 3 1/2 yr old daughter,shes loving so far the canal boat and car and hospital,we still have the tree house,school and bakery also and loads of sulvanians they have faired very well after such a long time,Lizzie🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿

Buy a nice washable living room rug your wee lassie can eat and play on it you can wipe it and wash it if it gets dirty and get 2 green and 2 grey cushions and a new lamp and tv stand put your green throws over back of your couches show the fringes I’m not telling you to do all this just a wee bit of advice love your channel love when you hang out a lovely Washing always looks so fresh and clean love from Scotland ❤

Limescale on taps - soak cotton wool or loo roll in vinegar. Put the wedge of soaked cotton wool in a small plastic bag and then use a rubber band to secure it over the tap so that the end is fully in contact with the vinegar. Leave for several hours. Clean off and then repeat if necessary.

Hiya ! Regarding the taps , there’s a solution and sachets you can buy to de scale kettles , would work on taps too thinking Amazon will sell it ? I know we used it in our previous house. Your daughters learning so many life skills through your journey which is excellent ! Your trip to Italy sounds exciting ! The Vatican that’s something I’d love to see. We’ve visited a little of Europe but not Italy . I’m sure you’re all going to have a marvellous holiday ! ☀️! Oh our Sunday was a quiet one , we did a spot of shopping for dinner ,then opened a bottle of bubbles someone had bout us as a wedding gift , so we enjoyed that alongside dinner 🥂🍾. Hiya ! Can I ask do you have family in Italy ? Or is it your favourite place 🥰? We have family in Australia so spent 3 months over there from November last year up until February, we were so lucky and blessed with a fabulous break . Hence no summer holiday this year . We married on 26th April this year at St Hilda’s Church In Bilsborrow ( was also my fathers 84th Birthday ) we had a marvellous day , the sun shone and the blossom tree was in full bloom in the church garden . And had a party back at my daughters house . Lovely ! 😁. Oh there’s a product called Ecozone , they do a descaler 👍Amazon . 💐

I’ve had a whole saga with limescale myself, but every failed experiment is a learning opportunity and I’ve gradually been absorbing more knowledge on it. Acid dissolves limescale and the acid in vinegar isn’t the strongest. I think people always recommend things like vinegar and Coca Cola just ‘cause everyone has some in the cupboard and/or it’s “natural”, but it’s probably only useful for prevention, not treatment. A more potent acid-based cleaner would be a loo cleaning gel, but make sure you check the active ingredients for an acid in there, as I’ve been surprised to see that some that even say they remove limescale don’t actually contain any acid, but just a disinfectant. Harpic sell some that contain hydrochloric acid, which is quite a strong acid, so may be worth giving that a go. You could leave it overnight then give it a good scrub or scrape in the morning once the limescale is softened. But, be careful with touching it and breathing it in. You might want to avoid using it with hot water to prevent it turning into a gas as well. And maybe test a little area first to make sure it won’t damage your taps. And, unfortunately, it going brown isn’t a good sign. That’s when other minerals join the party, such as iron (basically limescale + rust) or uric acid from pee (presumably from people washing their hands after going to the loo) and it actually hardens the scale even more.

@@gettingtidy2495 Chemistry is fun 😌 The 2p hack certainly sounds interesting! If you’re minded to experiment, you could also try mixing citric acid powder (you can buy this for food preservation or Elbow Grease sell a pot of it) with white vinegar into a paste. The citric acid powder will help it to stick and won’t dilute or counteract the acidity. It’s still gonna be much milder than hydrochloric acid, but you never know, might be enough for just round the taps. I hope to hear how you get on! 😌
