I do my mayo with the immersion blender, but I don’t have to drizzle it. I use the whole egg, some mustard, salt, vinegar or lemon. Put all this is a long tall recipient(usually comes with the immersion blender), then pour the oil on top so that is double the volume of all the other ingredients. Then gently lower the immersion blender (turned off) and get it to the bottom. Only then I start it on turbo and keep it there without moving for a few seconds, until I see that mayo is starting to form on the bottom. Then I gently and slowly go up and down with the blender stick, first not all the way, until I get more and more of the oil incorporated. After all is smooth, if I want it to be thicker, I add more oil. If I want it runnier, I add some sparkling water. It takes a minute in total I think. And no need to slowly drizzle. You can also substitute the egg with same volume of milk, or aquafaba(water from canned or self boiled and cooled chickpeas)

I do this way also. I found a mason jar in my pantry, tall and 2 cup markings on the side. I put oil in first to measure then add everything else. Works perfectly and no dishes! When I first weaned my family off a lifetime of Best Foods/Hellmans I added a touch of sugar, a little onion powder, and used rice vinegar for the acid. I use Azures avocado oil and turns out well!

That's good to know! I'm gonna make mayo for dressing this week for the first time and I hate trying to get stuff like out of the bottom of the blender. I feel like I waste a lot simply because I can't get what's around the blade out.

Lots of ideas on making Mayo. I liked the option of no egg as I am not to eat raw. This is why I have never made it. I should have looked for substitutes for the egg. Chelsie, you are so talented and have a lot of helpful subscribers too. I was excited to get a nice look at your newly decorated family room. I just love the furniture, the wood tones, the coffe table is super. Where did you get that. It has storage drawers also. Wow. Really nice. Back to the video, yes to catching up on fresh salads and your restock hauls are always fun. Thanks .

It’s not super frugal but we keep Mayo packets from the wholesale restaurant store. If you run out of home made Mayo you can just use a couple of those without starting and needing to use a large container. Also if we take sandwiches fishing it’s nice to have the option of self contained Mayo and not soggy bread.

As you were moving your plants around, I was showing my husband how beautiful your living room is. I just love your house! You mentioned someone commenting recently about doing a big Costco haul after the pantry challenge and asking how that saved you any money. Well, you still saved a lot of money because the things you restocked on were not canned foods or produce that most people have to buy weekly at the store. Your hard work growing and preserving food saves you lots I'm sure! I truly admire you!

Your living room looks so lovely! I make my Mayo in a wide mouth mason jar with an immersion blender which makes for less dishes. Also, I don’t have to drizzle the oil. I put the oil in, egg, mustard, lemon juice and salt. Put the immersion blender in (while off) and directly over the egg. Turn it on but don’t move it until most of it is emulsified. Then move around until done. Takes less than 2 minutes. I do wish it had a longer shelf life too.

Just a tip in case you haven't heard of this mayo method... put 3 whole eggs and 3 cups oil in a wide mouth quart jar (plus lemon juice, salt etc. to flavor) then use an emersion blender at the very bottom till emulsified... then slowly rock the blender from side to side allowing the oil and eggs to continue to blend as you rise towards the top... you'll get a good mayonnaise every time. 😊 Thank you for another great video❤

The Spath plant is VERY sensitive to cold/cool weather and they don't like a lot of heat. The spathiphyllium (also commonly known as a closet plant or peace lily) does not like direst sunlight. Put in a darker area of your room. They will let you know when they need water as their leaves will droop. I'm a florist and this is a staple that we carry in our shop. As you re-pot them into larger containers they continue to grow and make lovely lush full plants. When re-potting, cut the bottom 1/3 of the dirt and root ball, give the remaining roots a little massage and add more soil to fill new container. Hint....Epsom salt makes a wonderful fertilizer for house plants. Mix 2 tablespoons per quart of water.

You’re right! Ketchup can be super time consuming to make and can. A few years back I found a recipe at Reformation Acres and it is a game changer. You cook your tomatoes, onions, and garlic in a crock pot to draw out the liquid. Then proceed with the recipe. You don’t have to spend hours cooking it down. I then can the “juice” I from the cooking process and use it in chili or soup. Amazing!
