Decades ago, I decided that I didn't want to throw away any more wrapping paper after every Christmas, and I started sewing fabric gift bags out of Christmas prints and other fabric remnants. And we have loved having them. I found that I actualy remember a lot of the prints and when I made the bags, and it's almost like seeing old friends each time I see them. We have so many now that I haven't sewn any for years, and we actually give far fewer gifts these days so we don't even use all the bags we have. My mother likes having them since wrapping gifts hurts her arthritic hands, and using the bags is a real relief for her, so now she has a large supply of them also. I thought you and your membership would like to know of this idea since it prevents so much money being wasted on wrapping paper that is just thrown away after Christmas and birthdays.

I love watching your videos, Chelsea. I'm a 75 year old mother and grandmother, and now I'm living with my daughter and her family. Watching you makes me remember my younger days when I gardener and preserved our food. Your garden is amazing and your farm animals are so precious.We used to bottle feed our runt pigs when I was growing up. We even thawed one out on the oven door, and she grew up thinking she was a dog. She would greet cars if they came into our yard, and would visit our elderly neighbor whe ever she could slip away. She was so sweet. Don't stop making your videos. I love them all, from gardening to cooking and preserving your harvest, to working on your bunkie and your home. You make my heart smile.

It was my granddaughter's 3rd birthday today, and her face when she saw her presents waiting for her this morning almost reduced me to tears. We're putting our tree up at the weekend and i can't wait to see her eyes light up. Being a grandparent is a blessing i never thought I'd receive and i cherish every moment. I'm sure you do too.

I recommend tying color strips of fabric to the freezer bins so that you can label your “map” by color. You can just write which color bin has what foods. And tying a scrap of fabric to the handle is quick and visible and cheap!

I finally decided on colored fabric-type grocery sized tote bags, or reusable grocery bags. The soft sides use all the available space and ooze into little spaces. I use, for example, red for chicken, green for pork, etc. I still do have to pull some out, but that's the way it is with literally every system. I love this system and have used it for years!

Fantastic prices on those clothes, shop supplies and groceries! I love the village and lantern! They are so me too. I have similar fond memories of laying on the floor looking up into the lighted tree. My favourite memory of Christmas from being a kid is driving around and seeing all the Christmas lights, having Christmas cookies, hot chocolate and “ little oranges”,,,,❤❤❤❤❤

My husband brought home a giant brass reindeer with a sleigh last week. He saw it at an antique shop in town and he said he knew I would cherish it for life. I have only had it a few days but I love it so much. I bet your ski mountain Dan knew you would love will bring you years of memories 🎄❤️❄️

I half-heartedly put up my Lemax Christmas village this year. I have been collecting it for over 20 years, but this year with no kids living at home & just us here now, I really couldn't be bothered with it...but hearing you describe how much joy the village gave you, encouraged me to finish setting it up properly! We do a house gift or two, every year too. This year it's a bigger frenchdoor style toaster oven/airfryer/rotisserie. It will save me from having to use my oven about 8 months out of the year, since we deal with far more hot weather than cold in Pueblo CO. We have a small family, and I'm usually not doing big batch baking, so this really is ideal for us. I'm pretty excited!

I love that color paint. I redid my kitchen last spring and used that as my cabinet color and found dolomite that had that green in the veining for the counters. Wen5 way over budget, but I love that counter. By the way, I used copper handles and they look great, kinda like your kitchen redo.

The freezer storage looks like a great idea. We have regular freezer dive meal weeks-we can only eat out of the freezer for a few weeks on end to clear the freezers out. We’ve found some really good finds, homemade pierogi, yay!

With your 3 wood heat sources, it would be a good to add an air purifier. Also, we run a humidifier all winter and distilled water keeps it from getting slimy on the inside and makes cleaning it so much easier.

Hi Chelsea, Great shopping haul. I love Princess Auto too. Just an FYI. Coop has Lactantia butter listed in their new flyer today for $8.99. And the Calgary news reports that there will be a marked increase in beef prices which means pork and chicken will rise as well. It makes food and feeding your family a luxury!
