@@DrainPros When I was doing AC in Phoenix, I used to HATE the calls that came in at 2 o'clock on a Saturday morning for "no cooling" so I drive over there in the middle of the night climb up on the roof and do my magic and THEN the homeowner lets it slip that the A/C has been out since TUESDAY and momma wasn't putting out until he got the A/C fixed. THEN things got real interesting and I NAILED him on the bill.And I forewarned him if his check bounced he would hear the pitter patter of little feet steps in the middle of the night on his roof and his A/C would cease to function. AND it would take another tech at least 4 hours to figure out what I did. Needless to say the check cleared. My boss couldn't believe I actually charged what I did and I told him the story. The best part of watching these types of videos for me is being able to compare the sewer systems to those I have worked in in Ontario. While most of the ones I worked on were in pretty good shape, you always get some awful designs like the plastic ring you see in this video. My runner up horror find like this was plastic debris covers that sit just under the manhole lid. When those drop in and there are upper lines, the pressure from a few hundred gallons of sewage in it is enough to make for a crappy afternoon. The winner of sh*t is having to clean a pump station that lost power for a few days. As reference, pump stations are used to pump waste to higher pipes (it can only run down hill to a certain point ...). When these shut down, all the grease, wipes, condom, needles, etc people flush collects together leaving you with 5-6 feet of solid biohazard sludge. You have to go in and break it up with pressure washers and shovels so it can be vacuumed out. When your done, you literally just throw all of what you were wearing out and try to think where your life went wrong while you real of shit and regret.

@DrainPros4 жыл бұрын
Each municipality in our area has different responsibilities. Some are responsible for the side way and curb some are only responsible for the pipe in the middle of the street (city sewer). You can find it out by calling the municipality sewer and water department.. most of them in our area are super easy to deal with! 👍 I have a blast with video taping jobs and sharing my knowledge of the trades.
