I think that once they release Dragons Dogma 2, hopefully the sales go good and the game is well popular with fans. They might start working on a whole new scale for an Online Dragons Dogma using the one they closed as the base for it.

@@sydanthay2172 Yes I totally agree, I believe DD2 will have a strong online component added to it as well. Also not likely but another company could try to release dragons dogma online. But yeah I'd like to get the private servers off the ground and find a way to donate to the people working on it. Similar to how all the wow private servers work.

It wasn't that good. It was extremely boring after awhile. The combat is alright though. It was the same thing with monster hunter frontier g-z. It gets boring after like a week of non stop playing then you never touch it again.

The fact this never released in the west is a crime. It was so much fun. Hope dragon's dogma 2 learned some things from this like vocations having separate stats and level or the ability to play co-op

Thankfully dragons dogma 2 isn't online, because that takes up resources from the dev team that could be allocated towards the actual game. We all saw what happened with fallout 76 when a single player series gets transformed into online.

​@@JumalaPlays Okay but that's specific to Fallout, and we all know Bethesda's management skills are ass. Dragon's Dogma Online seems incredibly fun so if they were to work on an online component of DD2 in the future I think it could be great. My greatest hope would be DD2 is successful, they work on a sequel mmo with the new and improved product, and release it in the west within a reasonable time frame. Probably never gonna happen but I can dream.

@@JumalaPlays To be honest if it was done a bit differently Dragon's dogma online could have been a singleplayer game, Imagine dark souls 3/elden ring style co-op in the original dragon's dogma. Just done worse because it was a ps3 game with obvious limitations. (yes it was ps3 i had guildmantes/friends in game who played the game on ps3) The implementation sucked because of ps3 limits and the fact they wanted to make it a hub based co-op frienddly title. But the game did a lot of work streamlining things, adding quality of life and changing some things. Vocations were treated like classes in ff14. Every vocation had its own stats/level/lodout etc. Vocations had more synergy in party. Pawns had a catch up system. If you were level 70 and took a low level pawn it got bonus exp for every level of difference between you. Because the game was separated into regions the world was bigger and the story was longer. I'm not gonna lie they dropped some stuff dd1 had but i think it was ps3/engine limitations. They really pushed the limits. Apart for timed events like raids/co-op missions the whole game was singleplayer with ability to co-op. I could 100% see dogma 2 taking some of the things online had and making them even better. You actually had an option to talk to your pawns at home and telling them how to act in combat for example. And i could totally see that improved and expanded.

Little update about this there is leveling but no stat progression at all the game is not complete but its the most fun ive had in awhile the discord is alive we are in there having a great time you cannot change classes in the overworld the game will crash THIS IS BEAUTIFUL ! and in you storage chest they have the collab armors

Dragon's Dogma 2 not having co-op makes me real sad, but DDON coming back gives me a lot of hope. DDON was and still is my favorite MMO experience I've ever had with a friend. Cannot wait to get back in and Alchemist it up, favorite MMO tank ever. Also, Dragon's Dogma 2's teaser has me SO pumped for that to come out, even if it won't have co-op.

I'm really happy about it not having coop. Too much games have coop and see their devs balancing them around that mode, when single players just want to play the damn game without being nerfed to death and the whole thing being utterly unbalanced. The pawn system is also really good, so there's no need for it, really. The same people complain about lack of proper coop in Elden Ring, without even grasping why it's nonsensical.

I played it when it was still up, only played to the end of season 1 but that alone was a lot more enjoyable than base DD & DA, the game wasn't clunky at all no mmo controls it felt as if it was a native console game, gameplay felt faster, Warrior had more than three skills iirc, you could also switch your skills set up mid combat, you could have three pawns, everything was way faster, some of the clases could pretty much be played in the air which was cool as heck! XD I think I have a few videos on my channel but the quality is terrible do to me having bad internet back then :

In short, every vocation and mechanic was cleaned up and made to work in such a way that at least to me, Dark Arisen was ruined because the online game improved everything in more than a +1 way. If you have specific questions, I would love to try and answer in more detail - but Capcom set an extremely high bar that I would argue has yet to be rivaled.

I don't know, that's kind of one of the things that made dragons dogma so unique to me. It wasn't the fact that you didn't have to level for anything, but you still had to do some extensive farming to get everything you wanted. Don't know how it is in ddo though, never had the luxury or powerful enough PC to play it, lol.
