I had to smile when you forgot the salt in the pizza dough - it reminded me of my grandmother who I believe was the world's best cook. She always allowed me to "help" her cook and once we made a layer cake for a cousin's birthday and as we were cleaning up the kitchen after placing the cake in the oven, she said "oh no." She walked over and opened the oven door and stirred baking powder into the already baking layers. Of course, they were perfect. As was she.

Well, you're probably NEVER going to see this, but I just have to say that I am SO inspired by you! I'm 60 and live alone and LOVE casseroles, especially ones that are complete meals (meaning that they contain a protein, a vegetable and a starch). From now on when I make a casserole, I'm going to make 3 of them, one to eat right away (every night for dinner until gone, which suits me fine), one for my elderly parents, and a third one to divide into meal-size portions to freeze for myself. I can't wait to do that this weekend! I'm a super picky eater so will be making casseroles that combine ingredients from 2 or more of your recipes to come up with my own complete-meal casseroles. For example, I don't like bell peppers, onions, ricotta, cilantro, etc., so this weekend I'm going to make a casserole with jumbo pasta shells stuffed with sausage and diced zucchini with cream cheese, mozzarello and parmesan. Thank you SO MUCH for all the inspiration; you are such a joy to spend time with and I've already learned so much from you in the one week since I stumbled upon your channel!!

I've learned so much from this channel Becky, thank you. Even though I'm 62 years old, raised two children and now have 4 grandchildren I basically never really learned how to cook. My Mom didn't like to cook and rarely did and she never taught me to cook a thing. Then I went to live my my Dad at 15, my older sister stayed with our Mom and after a few science projects my Dad and I went the sandwhich, ready made, or eat out food route. I did learn a few tried and true and had a couple of favorite cook books when my kids were growing up. I found that going all out was wasted on them and they prefered the few tried and true or simple things. Now I have the time and really enjoy cooking even if it's just for myself. I often freeze leftovers or share some with neighbors when I go all out. Take care and God bless you and yours.

I made ghee for the first time last week and was so proud of myself. I used 2 lbs salter and 2 lbs unsalted so it wouldn't be too salty. It made 7 half pints. Boy do scrambled eggs taste good cooked with it. It smells devine. Funny that if you taste it, it's oily with barely a hint of butter flavor, but the eggs fried in it - fabulous and buttery flavored. One thing I told Becky was to scrape the insides of her vanilla beans out to put in your vanilla. Put the hulls of the pod into sugar to make vanilla sugar. It’s great for baking! Every time you talk about salt in your dough, I’m reminded of my Mother. Both of her parents passed when she was 15 and 16. 6 months apart. She was shuffled around to her older brothers and sisters homes. She married my father when she was very young. 17. My fathers family owned and ran a sawmill. So there were seasons where all the brothers and their families live at the Sawmill camps. They had cute little cabins. My mother was the only wife that didn’t have any kids. So she decided she’d get flour from the other wives and make a huge batch of bread. She wanted to help out so bad. BUT…. She forgot the salt. Lol. They would usually have a pot luck dinner and everyone would sit out by a camp fire and enjoy each other’s company. I had some scary Uncles. Lol. My Mom said she was terrified of the oldest brother. She said he tried to be nice about it. But he’d pick up the salt shaker and glare at her while sprinkling salt on his bread. Lol. It has helped me to never, ever forget the salt in any dough recipe. Lol

My Mom loved it when she’d have her first cooking session with one of the kids. She’d start to tell her story and our kids would say, “Oh yeah Grandma! Mom told us.” They’d kind of chuckle a little as they asked her which Uncle scared her the most. This was one of my favorite stories. Lol

Hey Becky, a good way to use up your dirty aluminum foil is to put it into your dishwasher. Just squees it into a clump and put it into the area where your forks, spoons, etc... are. the foil will give back the nice silvery shine on the cutlery (Chemistry thing). For me its a nice way feeling better not to throw the aluminum foil after one use in the trash AND u will get nice and shiny cutlery :) the same foil works for multiple washes - you can see how it becomes mat after a frew rounds in the dish washer. Maybe you will give it a try ^^ - Best wishes from Germany ♥

As a mom of 5 you give me so much motivation to just “get it done”! Love your channel so much and hope you have a fantastic holiday season into the new season of motherhood. Wow what a production today. You are getting all stocked up for postpartum! Good for you. I'm going to try your biscuit recipe because I usually buy Pilsbury frozen biscuits in bulk but if I can make them that would be great. Thank you so much for posting. Stay safe, stay well. Relax

Ever since you announced your pregnancy, I've been waiting for a massive freezer meal prep for postpartum video. I'm so ready to watch this video. I just heated up some leftovers for lunch and I'm ready to sit back and enjoy my meal while watching your video :)

Hey Becky! We have a farm in the Highlands of Scotland and have been so inspired by you over the last couple of years that we have decided to start our own channel. I can't wait to meet your little one when they come along. My 4 kids love watching you cook and we all try to recreate your recipes. Some how me and 4 kids don't achieve as much as you though haha. This year for Christmas I'm surprising the kids with some of your peanut brittle, a total throw back to my own childhood! Keep up the amazing work and thankyou for having an energy level that's contagious. There are many days that I need it =)

Gosh that pizza dough was a major workout for you. My guess is you will never forget salt again. Live and learn. I so love all of your hints and suggestions for ways to make the most of our time in the kitchen. Thank you for sharing with us. It was nice to see your girls outside in this video. Looks like they have adjusted to the new house nicely. The dishes can wait. They will be there when you feel up to dealing with them. Go relax!

Love your channel, Becky. Even we grandmothers love new ideas and unearthing the new tools we've bought and forget to use - silicon bags among them. Amazed again at your energy and much as we love your episodes, do take time off when you're tired. We'll still be here when you're back. Have a feeling your mom tells you the same. Time for your nap!

Oh my gracious! Becky… it’s like you’ve picked up on my fears. I’m making the official Thanksgiving apple pie this year (I’ve never made a pie) and I’m legit freaked. This video is an answer to all my worries. Thank you!!

Key to apple pie is that apples shrink A LOT! Use twice as many as you think unless you’re following a set recipe. My first pie was all crust and a smear of apples lol

You are completely amazing!!! What a great video. I do these things too, but not on the scale you do. I always keep cooked hamburger, italian sausage and chorizo in the freezer for pizza, omlets, breakfast burritos, etc. I have never seen anyone who cooks so efficiently and doesn't waste time, or steps. You do a great job.

It’s now 6:25 a.m. where I live, so I’ve watched your videos all night! I have some nights that I cannot sleep since my hubby passed away and I’m very thankful that I found your channel! You not only post some “delicious” videos, but you have a lot of super ideas “packed” in, too! I have my daughter, her hubby, and two wonderful grandsons, both in high school, who live nearby and I enjoy cooking for them, so your recipes are tried and enjoyed! Now you have a precious little boy, too! Congratulations on welcoming him into your lives! You and your hubby are blessed! He will grow very quickly, so I hope you received a “Baby Book” for him because you want to write little notes very often...everything from when his cord came off, first smile first checkup and how much weight he has gained! It’s fun to add new things and they happen very often! I know so many things are computerized now, but “Baby’s Book” should not be one of those! They usually go from birth to kindergarten or first grade...to when they begin to lose baby teeth! He will love watching you put pictures of him in it, too! Take care! Thanks for the ideas and recipes!

I just would love to say. Your tips for convenience items and ways to make later yous life easier has been soooo helpful for me as someone who has ADHD. Learning about ways to preserve food if it needs to be dealt with but I’m not eating it right away. Or having ways to help yourself have a homemade food at a later time has been a game changer!

You taught me to have vegetable or chicken Stock canned. I just live it. I open a jar, bring it to simmer, add grated carrots, sellerie, some mee nudels and you have a tasty, healthy meal in 5 minutes. Food is a livesafer with Kids. You can deal with being tired, you can deal with being hungry but not both.

Just something to think about for next time you cook a bunch of bacon. So your bacon does not sit in the grease use cooling racks. This will allow the bacon grease to drip off. You can then pour your grease in a jar without having too much left on your bacon.

Well done Becky!!! You’re a little pocket rocket!!! I remember doing freezer meals when I was having number six child… I was so tired (cos I had a 1yr, 2 yr, 3yr and a busy (I.e. mischievous) 6yr and a very hormonal 12yr. 😊 You’re an absolute inspiration. I have started to make my very small kitchen work for me a little harder under your skilled tutelage. Thank you for sharing so much your positivity, cheerfulness, knowledge and kindness with me/us. 🌹Rosie of Oz🇦🇺 & 🐶Omega the Cavalier🐶

Salt also controls the rising in homemade yeast breads, so very important! I had to laugh because just this morning I made Pumpkin Muffins as daughter and grands were coming for coffee. They turned out beautiful.....but pretty tasteless as I neglected to add the sugar, of all things! Sigh....Just goes to show you that we ALL make mistakes - I've been baking longer than you've been alive, lol! You're SO much fun - keep up the good work, Becky - your hubby is a blessed man!
