A vast mine of hidden gems. My poster child for hidden gem is probably Metal Warriors, a SNES mecha shoot 'em up by Lucasarts with amazing detail (there is no life meter- your mech's damage effects are so incredibly detailed it easily conveys how close you are to exploding!) and difficulty as well as a 2P versus mode. Not exactly Front Mission Gun Hazard but close. Dusk Diver looks like a neat spectacle fighter.

Erick, one game that I would love to see your thoughts on is End Roll. It is a Horror JRPG with a strong focus on the characters and story. In my opinion it is an amazing game that hits hard in the feels. Guardian's Crusade and Slipstream are also in my opinion hidden gems.

Erick is typically outspoken about the maturity of content in the story of a game or the erotic nature/fanservice that could be involved, and I know that those playing a Danganronpa game should not find most things shocking.... but I will let those know that have not played Ultra Despair Girls that the content is particularly fucked even for the Danganronpa series and I'm a little surprised Erick didn't even say a word of it considering he's recommending it to first timers and he's commending the writing. It's a good time, but it knows how to make its players MORE than uncomfortable to say the least.

...Just got to Dusk Diver segment and noticed one very telling moment in this video that shows Erick just recycled a segment of an older video for this one: he states that Dusk Diver 2 comes out in Febraury...however the game released in Feb 2022 so this is obviously cut from a video from more than a year ago...hooray for recycled content I guess right? lol. Playing 2 now in fact (along with a few other games I got at Christmas) and will say while good I kinda preferred 1 a bit more even if 2 lets you play as multiple characters unlike 1 (think the combos changed a bit and 1's just felt a bit better, basically combos a lot like most musou style/light attack mixed with heavy attack ender games)...game's story is decent enough but side content is still kinda meh as it's mostly hunts/fetch quests (more so the later) with minimal lore related quests outside the character quests...I also got both for Switch as well and well...graphics look like a PSP to Vita era game on there and far more out of focus than the other versions so wouldn't recommend that version out of all platforms (granted may be handheld mode to I guess as I only play my Switch in handheld mode...hell don't even have it attached to a TV lol).
