Why doesn't Airbus expand their production capacity, build more factories? Considering their backorders and huge demand, It seems to me that an investment in expanding production would be worth the investment.

Biggest mistake Allegiant did was order that plane, they could have waited on the new 320 from airbus by the time they get any max’s they could have stated taking delivery on the new 320 neo, split fleet doesn’t and will not work at that airline should keep one type as small as that airline is.

Im an American Airlines shareholder and frequent flier. Ive been following this for awhile now. The fleet of a319s they have from US Air merger are getting old. As it stands now only 61 a319neos have been ordered with a backlog of only 44. American airlines has over 130 aging A319s right now. In light on the 737 MAX 7 still not being certified and the backlog on that type being so much longer I hope they order the A319 NEO to replace those with. The A319s American Airlines have which Ive flown on have allowed them to fly long low density routes between Dallas and Bangor, Maine for example. Likewise short frequent routes.
@wadehiggins111410 ай бұрын
That would be great for the A319 NEO! The only reason why the max is getting orders is because of the NEO's backlog. Allegiant had to settle!

From the reviews I have seen Norse Atlantic appears to offer a superior product on its OSL-BKK service than Scoot's SIN-ATH and SIN-BER services. I think they should consider dropping Atlantic from their branding and consider offering more flights to Asia on a full year service basis and possibly on unserved or underserved routes. For example, OSL-ICN, OSL-HND, OSL-SIN, OSL-CCU, OSL-DEL, OSL-BOM, and OSL-MAA. Whilst my examples are all using Oslo similar Asian routes from other European locations may also work. If they coordinate the trans-Atlantic and Asian timetables and offered checked through baggage handling, even if for a fee, they may be able to attract some East Coast USA to Asia traffic willing to transit Europe enroute to Asia.

People must be nuts running and investing capital in passenger airlines. All the expensive planes and equipment, rents, massive debts, rotten management and labor environment at many airlines, government regulations, customer general unhappiness with service, etc... For all its trouble American Air has market cap of only $10 billion. The largest mark cap pax carrier is ULCC, Ryan Air in Europe at $31 billion. Fedex moves frieight and has a cap of $61 billion. The big tech comp are in the $trillions even Amazon is worth $1.8 trillion. Former A/A boss Bob Crandall was right when he said airlines are not an investment he would never buy any stock in one. Better investments available.
@jgnclvgmng540810 ай бұрын
Passenger airlines are a long time investment. Big tech is short term and risky investment, even bigger than airlines, but yes you can make a lot of money on them, but also lose a lot. Big tech companies are not worth their market cap, and a lot of people will likely lose a lot of money one of these days (as usual). It's speculation that interests the big bets, and those usually have ways to get out earlier. Ryanair Europe are crooks (the CEO is one, likely the other key people are too). They owe money to everyone, and they are awful payers. That's the reason they mostly use secondary airports, not only in price but because these usually are desperate or any business, even not paying ones. Illusions...
