Please PLEASE take my advice from someone eho is 37 and grew up playing original series magic the gathering and pokemon cards: these things skyrocket in value if kept in mint, sealed condition. It makes me sick knowing i could have retired on things i already owned

This is a great review! I started collecting some of the battle figures recently. My favorites of the ones I've collected so far have been Larvitar and Morpeko (hangry mode). Thank you for going over each figure's articulation and poses, because when I buy these that's specifically what I look for.

I just wish these all scaled just a little bit better. I know another company has an actual scaled line but they are a bit smaller and more expensive.

Nice! I almost thought about picking up Lugia because that group of new Pokémon was just starting to arrive on the scene while I was still collecting back in ‘01/‘02 but I’ve told myself that I’m sticking to the original 151 Kanto only.

It's a pity that the proportions of the sizes were not preserved. Some of these Pokemon should be bigger. Charizard and Blastoise should be bigger or Venusaur should be smaller.

Charizard is in proportion with the rest of the Pokémon. That new Select Charizard is from a different line of figures so he’s not going to be in scale with these.

Im only a fan of the original too being 37 Lol! I might collect the whole set as well for sketching and 3d modeling but i imagine kept sealed these may skyrocket in 20-30 years. In other people's opinion, should I leave my pokemon inside their boxes or open them??? I'm unsure of what I want to do and I just bought Dragonite and Gyrados. I just don't want to make a mistake and open them when they're rare and sought after.

Just do what makes you happy. If opening and displaying them is what you you like, don’t worry about how rare an item is.

Theyre amazing same with the mario and sonic figures. Seal one ad bury it, play with the other you might strike gold lol

Great question. Some of them do and some do not. Probably the Charizard or the Legendary Birds, but I saw a Select Jigglypuff the other day that is way too large for this line.
