This is huge upgrade fix road.The nc dot now got hand full.Calgary alberta floods 2013 put lots upgrade around city.This is long haul rebuilt pure simple.Thanks update.😮

I’ve been bringing attention to the size of the mining in the area… hard to fathom all the reconstruction over a century, just to be washed away again, in time… the strip mining of coal is just huge!!!

Power poles on the other side of the river/creek now… what a mess. My besties vacationed there a couple years ago, towards Pigeon Forge, there were tree houses with swinging bridges… all wiped out now… glad she took a lot of pics…

Massive undertaking here, god bless all the workers & be safe. In one small way you are fortunate to be able to film this for us travelling on whats left of the road, in the UK the public would not be able to! Our health & safety laws are way over the top compared to yours. You still got some beautiful colours in the trees to enjoy in the fall, small mercy. They are clearing the embankment and shoring it up then taking what they cleared from the bank on the hill side then using that material as well as other stuff that has been cleared from places that had mud , rocks everywhere and shoring up the creek side of the road by putting that material there.

I'm so very sorry for the traumatizing experiences you have witnessed. I'm sorry for the devastation you guy's have to deal with. I'm a seventy-three year old upstate New York retired liberal with a hernia and a bad knee. My motto is that if you're not part of the solution, then you're part of the problem. Riding up and down damaged roads making KZbin videos is part of the problem. Twelve years ago, when Hurricane Irene dumped 17" of rain on the Catskill Mountains and Vermont's Green Mountains, my wife and I drove up and down damaged roads to seek out people that needed help. We drove people to laundromats, grocery stores, and doctors appointments. We distributed groceries and water. We brought water to first responders. As a retired electrician, I tried to help people make their homes safe for the power to be turned back on. No. I'm not negative. I'm practical. I didn't need four-wheel drive, so i didn't get myself in a situation where first responders were saving me instead of the people that needed it. And I never even took a picture of what we did.

You obviously haven't paid attention to why I am here at all. I'm sure you would be here helping if it weren't for your knee. I am here helping with my own hernia & injuries. What does your being a liberal have to do with helping people? I work in solutions. There is a woman in a Holler who was turned down for well repair after the flooding collapsed her well. She now has a group water filtration systems & everything she needs to not only provide herself with safe drinking water, but her entire Holler. I was brought to her by nothing less than God because it was a miracle. This is only one of the many blessings that have occurred on this Hurricane Relief Mission God has me on. Your approval is not needed. I'm praying for your healing.
