Massive Smoky Quartz Pocket Pt 1

Prospecting high up in the mountains of southern California, a few strikes in the dirt and "The Dream Pocket" was born. To our surprise the crystals kept pouring out and getting larger in size with great luster and clarity. - stay tuned for the continued parts and see what we dig up next

Hi, I live in New Zealand and we never have anything like Smokey Crystals in my country, come to think of it we don’t have any crystals at all. Watching you dig for these was a wonderful sight to see, congratulations on finding the dream pocket that others only think about. Amazing find! Digging with a small pressure washer and pumping the water out might allow to undig bigger unbroken crystal. Might very well be a crystal cave nearby.

I've been up in Montana digging for crystals and I even got a crystal that was almost as big as your fist. But nothing that size. And I'm with you. I'd love to see the cleanup on those.

I don't know where your digging those crystals, but if I'm in Colorado and I'm finding high grade smokies, my first thought is to dig below that layer and start looking for topaz

@@lewasil smokey quartz are all over the place here and in North Carolina along with topaz emerald and sapphire mines where there is pegmatite there are these gems and turquoise, and caves everywhere but not as big as out west

The Elemental Forge if you think about it the one crystal that was double terminated looked like it at one point in time connected with both top and bottom or at least both sides of a small crevice when you look at the ends. And if you think about the great flood way back when who’s to say that the left over standing water did saturate the land around said pocket and collapse it? I’m not saying their might not be another actual pocket bellow this but just a thought

Also, if you are going to take it out of the ground, I think a leaf blower wouldnt be such a bad thing to bring, to remove most of the sand and dirt so you can see better
