Thanks for sharing. Please be careful of claim jumpers. I have seen good areas ruined for prospecting / mining with videos or documentaries. I have seen only 3 mistakes you have made giving the area away. My Best to you and yours always. Could you imagine what that massive pocket looked like before block faulting collapse?? Are you holding on to the pieces in hopes of puzzling them together? Could make an incredible museum piece. I will be up in that area for the new year. If I see any miners, I will stop and introduce myself. Also, a sand mat is very helpful in digging on any pegmatite. Best Regards, Kenny

Where to you FIND crystals like this??????? As a rockhound, I'm used to going out, digging around, and finding one or two real nice specimens and another five or six broken ones. If I found as many crystals as these people did in one day, it would fill up my six shelf cabinet with ONLY those. They must find them to sell them otherwise, to me, I wouldn't like to find so many in a day.

Keep in mind that there are probably many other pockets in the immediate vicinity. We never saw the bottom of the pocket, so don't know if there may be pockets at an even deeper depth. What I worry about the most is that some big commercial outfit will obtain the site and take heavy machinery to it - with all the damage to the crystals and groupings that such heavy handed digging causes.
