Useful tip, get a waste pipe cut it to 300mm or 400mm and use it as rollers. You’ll be surprised how strong they are, moved a 6m steel that weighed 237kg around on them. Worked a treat 😂

I half inched a scaffold cross member years ago,cut it in half and keep it in my van it makes moving steels a lot easier by rolling it on them. You would still have had to graft it in to the house etc but you wouldn't have been knackered by the time you got it round the back, lifting lumps like that definitely takes it's toll later on in life.

If you do this regularly is build a bogey or two. Caster wheels, big to enough to cope with some rough ground 100-150mm. Put the wheel in a cross make sure two on one axis are 30- 40ish mm higher than the other. The bogey will run on three and can spin on it's self. The offset height help to be able the step up small steps. Longer items such steels are actually easier to move than smaller items. Moved stuff 250kg +with just two people. A couple of bars help as well. Scaffolding poles even better in a straight line for heavy stuff but requires better surface

That's just a baby. In my place my son and i installed 5 usbs altogether 3 x 3metres long 1x 6 m and 1 x7.2m that's some lump of metal and had at one end to lift it by hand to position it centrally on a wall. The long one we had to get the crane driver to put the end through the doorway so as we could get short scaffold poles under one end and allow it to roll into the building, having to push the last 2 metres by hand, to get it positioned beneath its bearing points which were in some cases 6x6 timber posts.
