Been buying them for 20yrs I just turned 41. Once you find out they make darn good patch panels in mud and offroad vehicles especially. Even a nice touch in some old cars that need block off panels. Never did pay quite these prices but I was raised by my grandparents who lived the great depression and kept and had uses for every thing

at 36:32 that jar looks like a water injection setup reservoir and valve like my uncle had on his old Cord. When the engine drew a certain amount of vacuum it would draw water from the jar and mist it into the intake increasing compression by cooling the air/fuel mixture.

This really shows us how far we’ve come when rusted old things are cherished and require a kings ransom to purchase. But as they all say you only live once . Think I’ll start looking in the garage for some vintage stuff to sit at the curb with some bargain basement prices. Mortske reminds me of my kids when you go to the store the next time you see them is at the checkout counter with crap you didn’t intend to buy.
