Really good. The best short video on Massive X I've looked at so far (and there are A LOT already). Love that glissando, it really adds to that fine beat.

Dude, that glissando thing just makes it for me! Thanks for the comment!

Details excellently explained! Especially liked the non-standard time signatures, and how there can be beats (note) less or more than the call out. Especially for me, as I'm not a musician, or read music. Thank You.

Excellent stuff, as always! By the way, how do you increase the height/width of the sound rows (0:40)? I mean all the 16 sounds have more height than the default. Thanks in advance.
@jefgibbons5 жыл бұрын
You can double click the bar on the right side of the sequencer, same goes for the lower bar.

Tip: if you can't see any presets in Massive X, you need to search Native Access for "Massive X Factory Library" and install that for them to show up. Not super obvious from the instructions.

Jef once again nice vid. I downloaded it cause I have komplete ultimate and played around with it, the routing side was cool and fun. It just seemed rushed and incomplete I think the next couple of release updates might make it abit better. If you have serum, sylenth or avenger and original massive it does pretty much the same. What I like about x is the integration with all the other native instruments software so let’s hope in the next couple of updates it will knock it out of the park.
@jefgibbons5 жыл бұрын
+Hass Miloud pretty fair comments there... I’d like to see the envelopes change in real time of course... but I’m excited to see what the likes of adsrsounds.com does with it. Lots of room to grow!

Nice video! Still trying to figure out all the new effects in Massive X. Related question: Using the piano roll editor in the Maschine software is killing me. I know it won't show velocity on the actual midi notes (only at the bottom), but how do you easily edit velocity with stacked notes/chords? If the chord notes are quantized right on the beat, it's a total pain to adjust them using the velocity bar at the bottom of the screen. It's almost impossible to grab the note you want to adjust. And is there really no way to preview the note as you move it up and down inside the piano roll? I love the Maschine software, but wow.....they really need to upgrade that piano roll editor to obtain basic DAW functionality.
@jefgibbons5 жыл бұрын
+Stephen Harrell man I was just googling that stuff yesterday, the no note preview thing is rough!
@Nightmoore5 жыл бұрын
@@jefgibbons Fo real. So the only "quick" workaround I figured out is to grab a note in the chord - which highlights it. Then hold down Ctrl (I think it's Option for you) which is the shortcut for "don't snap to grid." Move it a little bit away from the other notes, then you can adjust velocity on the bottom. Then move it back. That's absolutely bonkers, but it's probably the fastest workflow outside of having Maschine "humanize" it (which isn't so great for emulating a keyboard performance). I have no idea on the sound preview when moving it around. It looks like it's just not an option.

I wouldn't waste my money on this half arsed piece of shite if you want to but a decent synth gofor something like repro 5 you get synths for the price of 1. it's a no brainer
