They are German. The amount of paper comb was the second sign, the first being the lack in presence and aggression when he sawed thru the ceiling. @HornetKingOfficial Жыл бұрын
Correct!😊 Though your reasons for choosing this species aren't specific to only Germans. Vidua, Arenaria, Vulgaris , etc have similar nesting behaviors and perceived defensiveness. Make no mistake, this colony's guards were latching, and attacking.
@andrewsinclair7159 Жыл бұрын
@@timjohnun4297 It's funny to me that Australia has such a reputation for mean, deadly animals, but the native wasps there are basically kittens. The worst you have are paper wasps of the genus Polistes, which are larger, but far less aggressive than European wasps. They build much smaller nests, and their sting is less painful too. Apart from the paper wasps, the vast majority of native Australian wasps are of the solitary/parasitoid variety, and most of those prey on spiders specifically. Who could object to that?

By the looks it's either eastern yellow jacket or German. I initially thought it's most likely the first, but after seeing the efficiency they've built their nest and how "busy bees" they are without even being aggressive yet, they probably are our European quick nest builders, the breadwinners of pest control operators here in Europe. They are very productive in everything they do, they destroy several raspberry bushes in no time.

We started to annoy Them by hammering on the outside Wall😁and like 500 came out swarming ! Second time we smacked on the Wall and they came back out.. A Bobtail bird came into the fight and started snatching the wasps!! -Never seen that before? Hovering like a hummingbird ❤️ We enjoyed more smacking and the bobtail enjoyed our move… We ran like 20 yards away ofcourse!!!! My buddy Anders cannot resist to annoy wasp nests, though he is alergic to Them and have both pills and atropine pen on him😂 Once he found a nest and Happy he called over to help him annoy Them🤣 It was like a manhood test in the Company! Anders sugessted to crab a leafblower and make Them fly into the intake🤣 like making a wasp Cannon !! Me: Yes do that Im not doing THAT😅 Went fine for like 5 seconds!!! Anders jumped like two feet into the Air and RAN like hell!!! Me: Dropping dead on the grass laughing🤣 Was a great summer and a very playfull buddy ❤ Thanks for educating us in wasps and their life and place in the Nature system, i knew that they snatch thousands of flies and mosquitos thru a season ! But did not know that the larve feed the wasp after the wasp feed Them?? Thanks for sharing your work! TBH i hate wasps 🫣

I rebuilt the car from the ground up. But had most of it's part's that were stored in buckets and crate's. I remember seeing a bunch of part's to some kind of old car. He told me where the engine was and the gearbox was part of a big drill press. He had the paperwork to the car. I worked on it for years and got it put back together. I had to buy a aftermarket frame because the original frame was rotted into pieces. The reason why he took the car apart in the first place. Had to buy new aftermarket parts and peices but had the original parts to work from.

Have you considered a portable dust collection system for sycking them up? Like the 1HP unit from Harbor Freight. I have been told when taking down a yellowjacket nest you have to remove every single piece of the nest and then treat that whole area so that their smell pheromones is gone and can't be picked up by the next colony and if not they will come back and build another nest. For me when it comes to which species they are, a yellowjacket is a yellowjacket is a yellowjacket and that's enough for me.

Been mowing grass since 2006 and been stung several times by yellow jackets. Also got into a batch of them while hunting early season in the Fall. I thought the briars were stabbing thru my clothes till I looked down and saw them swarming out of the ground around my legs. They went under my jacket and sleeves and stung me on the wrists and stomach. I took off running while shedding my jacket to get them out of it. Their sting is worse than a regular honey bee in my opinion.
