I have been practicing El Rollos for almost 2 years, and it is much harder than it looks. It is confusing when I hear that you should look towards the beach or try to look in the direction you're going on the wave. I will keep practicing, but I have only hit about 3 clean ones in 2 years of practicing here in Hawaii.

Keep it up. Practice makes perfect - you’ll get there!

I'm exactly in the same point as you are in terms of Rollos! Just nailed a couple and the hardest for me is turning the head. We just have to keep trying mate, definitely not as easy as they say imo! Greets from Portugal.

Was in the same boat until I watched their older video and figured it out. Don't roll "across" the wave. Think about rolling 270* and landing facing the beach. Just standing and doing it in your lounge makes instant sense.

I'm gonna try to apply this tricks, for me, the reverse spin is easier than 360 spin😅

When I do spinners I've always felt that the kick of the fins is what helps initiate the 360 but I haven't seen any video mention that. Am I tripping?

Eduardo Freitas covers this in one of his videos. Mike Stewart also discussed it in some Facebook videos he did a few years ago while filming himself in the ocean on his phone.

Your inside leg is an extension of the rail of the board, so both lifting your leg out of the water and releasing your rail and looking in the direction you want to go will initiate your spins.
