Great video, you've inspired me to create a template with the joint circles in them instead of using a prop. Thank you, love your work.

Thank you, glad I could inspire you in your own projects. Including the circles within your character template is actually the better way to go because you can more easily line all the images up with the bone points. I didn't cover that because then I would've had to include how to add accessories into your template as part of the lesson.

One of the best tutorials that has been made for Cartoon Animator - great walkthrough of options for some excellent solutions to a tricky issue. You have certainly put a lot of thought into coming up with the techniques and have explained them all clearly and concisely.

Thank you for that excellent feedback, much appreciated. How to create characters for CTA with continuous outlines is a question that gets asked a lot, particularly by newer users. I've covered this technique briefly in my blog a couple of years back but this is the first time I've shown how to put it into practice in CTA.

Thank you for the great explanation! I've been working on some characters with outlines recently and getting this right has been a real struggle. With this I'll be able to move forward with the project 🙏

Glad I could help. It's not an immediately obvious solution. Initially I actually stumbled across this technique in a tutorial for MOHO a few years back and adapted it for Cartoon Animator. My own solution was the tapered lines (number 2 in the video) that still have gaps at the extremes of movement.
