What about with hex code in Canva-would you have the conversion to cmyk from those. Codes on a chart?

Regardless of the software, as long as you have a printed physical chart, you can color change with that.

Our team at transfersuperstars uses the same CMYK FOGRA39 profile while working with artwork. We ask our customers that are particular with color to create in the same profile so that the finished print will come out the same. This is of course if the customer has chosen the CMYK colors from our actual physical printed chart. (as shown in this video)

This is very great But what if i had multiple colours in the image and maybe one of the colours need 100 yellow but 50 red and the other colour needs 100red 40 blue how do I adjust my cmyk? Thanks

Adjusting colors is tricky, You should be using a physical color chart and choosing the colors from the printed chart. What you see on the monitor may be different from mine.

We have a podcast coming out that will cover this question but the main thing is to export your artwork already sized and trimmed to print at 300dpi. Vector images are the best. Always create artwork at CMYK to get the most accurate colors.

but what about the rip software? does it not look at the image as RGB no matter what colorspace we use ?

Our rip converts RGB artwork to CMYK for printing. For optimum prints with closer color match, the artwork needs to be created in CMYK color profile.
