Nice, its also super helpful for opacity, if you have multiple layers and try to fade them in or out, it does wacky things.

Will you be doing an English version of this? I’m here to support your new channel 😎👍

No, sorry - we only speak NERD on this channel! :D Seriously, was there something in the video that I didn't break down properly? I try to make sure anyone can follow along, but I also know that I've done a LOT of editing, so something that is trivial for me, may not be so simple for someone else. And thanks - your support is greatly appreciated, my friend!

Thanks for this. Compound clips always mess up the audio with audio artifacts for me. Like when I combine timelines in a short film. Do you notice any improvements in compound clips in DR 19 versus 18 or know any way around this problem?

I don't use Compound Clips for that, so it hasn't happened to me, but I've had other issues that result in audio artifacts. I haven't downloaded DR19 yet - I'm waiting for the full release. I DID create a tutorial on my other channel a couple of years ago, showing how to throttle your render speed - I'd recommend starting there: kzbin.info/www/bejne/a52udIt6lpt6h80 Let me know if that fixes it!

@@TimelyAdventure You're welcome! Anything else you're looking for help on with Resolve? I've got quite a few videos planned, and some in the works, but more is always better, right? :D

@@CreatorReality1 haha for sure, at the moment, maybe just best practices/process for relight and magic mask (from color page), to preserve the data. My current process is to get it how I want and then copy the clip and make the original into a compound so it's saved off the timeline with no changes, and then with the copy of the clip render it out and work on it more from there. And if I need to make changes to the compound I can, but just leaving it in the timeline and moving it or adding any transforms always seems to break the magic mask and I think the relight. But curious to see what else you put out regardless, as this may not be relevant to your process. Either way, it's creators like you that make the DaVinci community worthwhile. 🙏

@@TimelyAdventure Thanks - I really appreciate that! Magic Mask gets broken a lot - at least the render cache does. It's no use saving it in a compound clip - but you can go in and re-render it at any time. I'll be doing a new Magic Mask tutorial soon-ish, but in the mean time, I've got some Resolve tutorials still living on my first channel: kzbin.info/www/bejne/m3_UaWqdj5ecmq8&pp=gAQBiAQB
