It was an honor to meet Mr Tagami through you, Bryce. I salute him. And you. The fact that you can see the beauty in this minimalism speaks volumes. You followed this trail, from the owners of the first tiny home built by Mr Tagami, to his own tiny house, and to his work. Well done as a filmmaker, an artist, and a human being. Thank you for connecting us all to the world of tiny home living and its philosophy!

I'm still getting on your channel videos and finding new "old" material to watch. This one is absolutely amazing, the concept he has about building based on traditional japanese building and of course the concept of not making 'garbage" for future generations talks about his way of living. Have no words to describe how awesome this tiny house is! Thank you for bringing all these videos to us around the world, hugs from Argentina.

"It may be very small, but to me, this is a very grand design!"... Beautiful! :-)

Love the designer's approach. He speaks, thinks, breathes in his own culture so organically. What are the dimensions? Measured by a tatami mat and can fit in a parking place. What is the price? Quoted in Yen. What are the materials that create the spirit of the house? Japan's awesome nature (cedar, glass that brings nature in). What are the soft elements to bring in culture? Japanese textiles. It's healing, eco-friendly. Beautiful. Thanks for sharing.

Japan has a housing problem like any country in the world (developed or emerging) and the first thing that's forsaken when building a space is the aesthetic. The smaller the space, the more important the aesthetic becomes because when you're inside your tiny house - everything is magnified. From how you can use the space to how it feels when you relax and enjoy. Aesthetics doesn't have to be grand; looking at a flower in a grassland can be more pleasing than a bouquet of them on your lap. Thank you Mr. Tagami for helping your neighbors by building this kind of home for them to live, and for us to explore more the possibility of living big in a tiny home. And a big Thank You to this channel for showcasing these homes. Even Bryce feels comfortable in a space even though he's such a tall man.

I admire that this wonderful structure is truly tiny, not like the more elaborate "tiny" houses where builders lose the concept of less is more. Tagami Haruhiko has built this structure as a micro camper. It could be used as a second home at nice campgrounds with convenient amenities and with great views, the mountains, the lakes, the seaside. Thanks Bryce for showing this work of art to us.

I had mentioned in the original post of this tiny house that there is an influence here from Frank lloyd Wright, he was himself inspired by Japanese architecture and Japanese everything, so there is a full circle happening here, the concept of organic architecture, the clerestory windows in the raised roof, the disappearance of corners, is a mini usonian on wheels, the similarities and organic concept again, there is a definite similarity on both approaches to the issue of what a house should be and the impact it has in the people living in them. Bravo! Well done.

What a neat guy! I really love the minimalism of the few Japanese builds you've shared with us. Just some advise: it's silly that you have to turn on annotations to enjoy this video. Next time, edit the translation subtitles directly into the video.
@livingbig7 жыл бұрын
The captions should automatically come on now, plus - if I put them directly into the video it limits the language to English. This way, the captions can be edited so anyone in the world can translate into their own language.
