From a previous video you used a simple phrase to help with what is needed in your life, "Does this spark joy?" All of your content sparks joy. I am consistently smiling and in a better mood after watching your content. Thank you for allowing us to experience this with you. I was shocked by your comment early on about how you found the scene so beautiful 'It was as if you weren't in Japan.' Coming from someone who's never been to the country I find that to be quite funny, as I found the entire scene gorgeous. It's illuminating to see how others view their own countries.

Aw this looks like such a cozy peaceful place to be in! And God knows that would really need a break from everything right now, the summer holidays will be finished in a blink of an eye and I’ll be back to my school to take care of a whole new classroom full of little ones who are just starting school, and the year will be in full blown mode in no time. Thank you for sharing this moment with us. At least I got to travel through your video 😊.

I have been studying the tiny house on wheels movement, for the past four years and I like the idea of being able to move my tiny house when ever I wish to. So I have decided the bus conversion is the best option for me. I like the idea of a Toyota Coaster and then decking her out with the basics that I need. I know me and my dog are going to be very happy. Thank you for sharing your amazing experience.

Hi, Aki, thank you for sharing! I love especially the view 'like a picture'. The architect really has a sense for details. I’ve been in tiny houses in Finland long before they get popular to live in. They were used as summer cottages and sometimes handmade. Very simple. No bathroom. Outdoor toilet. Bath in the lake. But: a wooden Sauna some steps away. Water from a source in the wood. Oil lamps. Compared with yours, yours is a fairy tale, especially the breakfast…for your lovely tea ceremony outside I’d recommend an isolation mat, I’ve a very small foldable, which I take with me everywhere. By the way: in summer time I preferred my tent, where mosquitos couldn’t come inside… Enjoy your snowy winter, we almost had none. Love from Germany, Monika❣

If I could only have 3 wishes, one of them would be this: being able to speak and pronounce Japanese as well as you do English. I am amazed at how good you are. Did you speak English with natives as a kid? If not, you became bilingual at adult age. It is impressive. Can you speak other languages?

Ehhh? Couldn't believe the difference between that room at night and in the morning. I felt that I wouldn't be so comfortable sleeping in that room cause I enjoy more natural light spaces, but it surprised me how it looked the next day! 😅 I like how they made the window from the bottom to the middle, so it givesbu the opportunity to see if any animal is hoing there. Normal windows are just in the middle of the wall, but this one 👌. Niiiiiice~

That looked great, I would love a place like that if you could live in a village with others and share a communal kitchen and shower space.
This is simply lovely, though not sure about bathroom in another location 😅 that part reminds me of going "camping". The foods look amazing!! Question: how will you live in a super simplified home like that if you have a family with kids? I always wonder about that. It's true lots of us have too much and too many choices most of the time but, even pared down and simplified, don't kids need more so they understand what is out there, also to try new things and get exposed? Sorry, getting a little off topic here. Thank you for sharing and would love to hear your thoughts! Your videos have helped me look to simplify. ❤

the small house is definitely well made but it irritated me that they put such a minimalist design in it but still saw the need for chairs instead of simply placing cushions to sit on it. I love your journeys! you made a German minimalist a really pleasant time enjoying your video!
@lynetteclauser35512 жыл бұрын
For the young pillows or cushions on the floor are fine. However, I’m 64 with 2 knee replacements from laying tile & brick for 15 years. I may be able to fall down, but getting up is another story. Most (but not all) people who have metal knees can actually kneel. So for older minimalists chairs are better.

I wonder if that tiny house is Snow Peak's version of America's "glamping"(glamorous camping) because the bathroom facilities are detached. I could see a community composed of these tiny houses as a solution to expensive housing. Just have to build other common areas like shared kitchen facilities and a small park or recreation area. On another note, I love my Snow Peak titanium spork(spoon/fork), always have it for travel and sometimes even use it at home for instant ramen. I'll soon be upgrading to Snow Peak's separate titanium spoon and fork set though for ease of use. Good value for a high quality product that I actually trust to be food-safe.
