Sounds like exposure therapy would be great as coupling w DBT for trauma. Go ahead and over react and let it calm down naturally. Get into the response and get to know it. So you dont react to your own emotions and amplify them, which is what happens during emotional dysregulation. A little bit of fear, gets blown out of proportion due to memories stimulating the emotion, visual memories projecting onto present situation w the emotions of the past, being projected as well and thinking you are in the same traumatic event, when you are not.

Yep, same, me too! I am so greatful to these video's. I'm learning how to help myself with life long knowledge. This kind of therapy is, in my opinion, ground breaking. I first had success with CBT and now i've found DBT and it's so incredibly insightful and helpful.

I would like to know more about dialect beliefs that can help a person embrace happiness? This would most likely be an expansion of the video entitled, “It isn’t brain surgery... 10 dialects to embrace to achieve happiness”.

When I'm actively having emotional issues is it best to remove myself from the situation? Like .... if my husband inadvertently hurts my feelings, instead of blowing up should I just walk away until I can talk normally? I used to get such a high off the arguing and conflict but these days I usually just separate myself from the conflict
@DocSnipes Жыл бұрын
Yes, that’s what exactly what you should do. Remove yourself from the situation until you can get into your wise mind and solve the problem. Other videos you might be interested in can be found at kzbin.infosearch?query=DBT

Can you use these CEUs for Nursing CEUs?????
@DocSnipes2 жыл бұрын
No, sorry. We used to do nursing CEUs, we were undercut price wise by cheaper providers that specialize in just nurses though. There are so many nurses, I think there is more volume of customers so they can charge less.
