This was a hard thing for me to do when I first started all those many years ago! I'm glad you did mention it is okay to move your eyes around a little. Another thing I learned. Staring directly into the camera all the time and never moving the eyes off center once in awhile can be unnerving. As in any conversation one-on-one with someone. We don't always hold a full center stare at all times.

You're spot on. I think it’s about trying to appear natural while at the same time remembering you're speaking to another individual. A lot of people get it wrong, especially when reading a script. Fortunately, almost everyone gets better with practice.
