Just a heads up about A/B sources.... this is not for comparison of two diff configurations of mic’s for two diff bands. A = input for this channel comes from the XLR mic jack. B = Input from this channel comes from USB connection, typically used to playback recorded tracks from computer Daw.

Thanks for the feedback. I appreciate your input, I wanted to check something with you as I am yet to use the feature. However, if I change the routing for source B to the mic pre's, (this is what I currently have mine set to), will that not mean that I will be able to create a separate mix for Source B. I believe this is what Mackie have claimed

Audio Solutions technically you can certainly create a separate mix when using B/USB as the channel inputs. However you would need to store that mix as a scene to be recalled. Eg, changing a channel from A to B will not change any other setting of that channel like the slider position or eq or etc etc. That requires recalling a scene.

I'm having so much trouble going from my dub mix and fx screen backnto my main mixer screen. It's got me crazy?

What's a dub mix? I'm not familiar with that term?

I believe you have good intentions;however, you should not give out information unless you are “sure” it’s correct. A/B are for what the mixer is seeing as an input. A is for channels 1-16 or 32 and B is for playback from your computer through the usb. Stay encouraged but please double check your information

Wi check and confirm what I said on the video. But you can configure A and B to do what you want them to. You are not required to stick to the default nor does the mixer force you to.

@@audiosolutions201 I appreciate your response and if I’m wrong then I stand corrected. If you notice when you switch to USB as an input the trim stays and the gain goes away. Thanks again.

Thanks for the feedback. I appreciate people correcting me, as I will also grow. I don't know everything, but don't tell my wife that. 😂 I also agree with you, when you switch to a USB channel, the gain should alway disappear, due to there no longer being the use of the physical pre amp input. I think I may have done a video on this, I will have to check. Do you have the 32S or R?
@jeffmaestro8 ай бұрын
@@audiosolutions201 I usually don’t try and correct anyone because I too could be wrong. Your personality is great! I have the DL32S I shouldn’t have come off the way I did, my apologies. Actually, there may have been an update to Master Fader because I saw a video of the representatives of Mackie, when asked a question about the trim said that sometimes if you can’t get the gain precisely that you could use the trim. This didn’t sound correct to me as I’ve never seen a trim on a gain. Dan Kurry, another KZbinr confirmed that trim is used as a gain for USB playback. Today I will connect my computer up and see. Maybe it serves a dual function. Thanks for your correspondence.
