Useful tip for budding Heihachi players re. ub2 parry: WGK 4, the stomp from Fujin stance, sets up ub2 if the opponent tries to jab to take their turn back as you're -4 after the stomp.

i think b1, 4 is worth mentioning as an option after chrome dome, imo it's the best option in the neutral. It's 39 damage, so only outclassed by a gold spark df1, 2. And it gives very good oki. db2 and ff2 are free unless the opponent stands straight up and blocks, or if they toe kick or spring kick (ff2 beats spring kick). Both will obviously hit if they stay on the ground. And for a safe option, d1 will hit EVERY wake up option. They have to stay on the ground to not get hit. so b1, 4 not only gives you the best most consistent raw damage, but a great opportunity for followup damage.

Don't forget Heihachis Heatsmash as a i15 punish everybody. With stage gimmicks it becomes a full launch and it has workable reach. It can make the difference when your opponent has recovered some health before using his rage art.

For the i15 punish, you can do df3, 1+2, qcf immediately, and then just press 1 after the second punch, confirming the string. Way easier than trying to fit qcf1 after the second punch.

You can also use db2 which beats everything but spring kick and toe kick. It also gives the most damage (20) which means means you still get a 59 dmg total punish against people who don't know/don't guess right

Maybe this is a known bug, but when Heihachi uses a heat engager that also knocks the opponent into a stage transition, he does not get a token towards his ultimate mode so your heat is somewhat wasted that round.

Oh and I have to say, that this mostly applies at higher ranks. And the reason I say that is because casuals and lower ranking players have not been taught to respect Tekken. They never stop pressing buttons. You never get to think or bait because they aren’t guessing. They’re just pressing and praying. Nobody respects the character and everything is incredibly sidesteppable.

I found the blue spark wall combo to be easiest while holding down after 1+2, then doing f1 at the correct timing. Even if you “mess up” and dont have a df in the command history (ie it shows down, neutral, f1) it still gives you the spark

I mained Gigas and my training mate launched d2 with heihachi consistently, which was a perfect electric then at -14...used to drive me up the wall. He hasn't cracked hopkick electric punish yet but it's going to be disgusting if he does. My only issue with heihachi punishment is that they destroyed the jab range so now you can get F'd in pushback situations.

11:37 weird argument. Punishing -14 with a regular electric is factually harder than punishing -13 with a perfect electric. You have one more perfect input in order to punish -14. Now with the latest update perfect electric input you can punish -14 with one delayed frame of lenience though. So in theory it’s easier if you’re always going for the pewgf input. (Not the case in tekken 7 for any mishima besides kazuya.)

unfortunately heihachi is WAAY more fun than Kazuha in T8 imo. It's incredible it's more fun than Reina too. AMAZING job by the developers. A declaration of love for the Mishima style which in my opinion reaches the peak of quality with him. There are those who put him in mid tier, in my opinion he will rise very soon, he is certainly not a character you can underestimate in this way.
