This guy does not have enough followers and views. I have seen a lot of lambdas explanations on the internet and non of them come close to how he has explained it. Kudos to you man!!! You shouldn't have stopped posting videos. Please continue posting.

Awesome as always, your deep dive into topic shows how much effort you need to master JAVA. Some people make full java course in 90 minutes, you do 90 minutes about lambdas. That says all

Amazing video again. One of the things that I love in your video is that you mention everything in detail, and always mentions why something is done in a particular way. It helps understand things much easier, than someone telling "Just do it like this!". Thanks.

hi @Riddhi , thanks for your tutorials. Helped me a lot in understanding lot of concepts in Collections tutorial. This tutorial also set a right ambience for lambdas.. Here I would like to mention that lambdas are not syntactical sugar to anonymous inner classes.. they work differently under the hood. Lambdas make use of LambdaMetafactory and invokedynamic aspects under the hood. Another obvious difference is 'this' reference behaves differently in lambdas and anonymous inner classes.. Thanks for your efforts..

wooow thanks so much for this video. I am new to java (and programming tbh) and i am super grateful for this video. I was really struggling to get the concepts of lambda and method reference in my mind. Also struggling with on understanding how to use the interfaces already available at java library. Now I got most of it and will practice more and more to keep it always fresh on my brain. But yeah thanks you so much for all this effort and amazing method of explaining everything ❤️🔥 have coding for all

At 59:30, what will happen to the ArrayList object? Will it be removed by the garbage collector after going out of scope? Is value capturing also happening here (I have this question because an object is a reference type)? If not, will the ArrayList object remain in heap memory as it is still used by the lambda expression?

Very useful video. But I got a doubt while watchng this video.Can you please help me on this? Can we use a class which is not implementing any interface having single abstract function , to pass as function parameter? I am not sure whether it is a useless question.

20:35 Actually, we are not passing a function as a parameter instead we are passing a reference of parent class/interface the behaviour of that test method is determined at runtime, this is what dynamic polymorphism says.

Thank you so much brother . great explanation. I have a doubt. interface MultiMethodInterface { void method1(int a); void method2(int a, int b); } in this scenario lambda implementation is not possible even though compiler can identify which method is referring to.

amaing video, but, one doubt, regarding.. why lambda only works with FunctionalInterfaces.. i understand that if we have 2 functions within an functional interface , compiler will run into ambiguity about which function are we providing the definition body for....but this point should only hold if the NUMBER of ARGUMENTS are SAME, i.e, if the number of arguments varies between 2 functions within a same functional interface, then lambda should had been able to indentify which definition to go where.... Please note i am not considering the type of the function because i know in lambdas we come to know the argument type by looking at the function definition. Please guide.
@rite2riddhi Жыл бұрын
If you want to keep things simple , just know Lambdas work with Functional Interfaces. If you want to know bts , then please go and read the oracle doc , i shared in description , to understand , how lambdas work
