Kyle- you really Enhance my CNC life! Thank you so much. Comment & Question: Comment: After I saw this Shortcut Master story, I bought the Touch Portal pro and enjoyed using it but wanted a separate keyboard. So I got a 9 key pad. A little hard to program. So, I bought the wonderful 15 key Stream Deck and LOVE IT! Your shortcut downloads were WONDERFUL and easy to set up!! THANK YOU for all the time you save me. Question: In your story you mentioned you download had all of the available shortcuts from VCarve. I wish there was one for 'INCREMENT and SAVE" as I (and probably many others) use this command a BUNCH. Do you know a way to create this as some kind of macro? Can you ask the Vectric to help us out with this and other shortcuts you think would be helpful to us dedicated VCarve users? SO APPRECIATE WHAT YOU DO FOR ALL OF US OUT HERE in CNC land. Best to you, Mike M Denver

I saw your teaser on Instagram, went online to search for the Stream Deck XL, found it on sale $80 off, paid about $189 for it. Started to do buttons for Aspire, got a lot of it working. Then you posted this video, I gave it a thumbs up. Just downloaded your file. Thanks a lot for the video and the file. Keep up the good work.

I'm new to your channel; enjoying your content! Had you considered a "gaming mouse" such as Redragon with programmable thumb buttons? Certainly not as pretty or extensive, but might be efficient, since one's hand is usually on the mouse vs reaching over to a deck.

Really appreciate the effort put into this video and the amount of detail. Honestly though it was overload and I will have to rewatch if decide to purchase a stream deck. Looks like it would be handy addon. Glad I now know about this - it was new information to me.

Fantastic video..thank you! One thought I had is to have a button to convert for Imperial and Metric conversion...much like your divide by half buttons.
@LearnYourCNC2 жыл бұрын
That's a great suggestion and would be easy to setup! Just insert a text function with *i= or *m= for imperial or metric conversion. Thanks Lee, I will add that to my buttons!

Bought the Stream deck xl. I have vectric Vcarve pro. I updated to V12, signed up to your master class and just became a member of your online learn your cnc community. My question is you symbol file updated for v12? If not do you have a plan to update it?

Thanks for all that you do to amke things easier and quicker. At the end of the video you said that we could also control smart outlets with the stream deck. Can you point me in the right direction on hoe to do this? Thanks.

When I go to the profile for Vetric and try to set to automatically switch to this profile when the Stream Deck app window is closed and application is in the forground. I can't get may VCarve pro to come into the application box. any suggestions

How do i make stream deck open vetric profile when i open Aspire? I followed steps but cannot get Aspire to show up in the list.
@dougpinney2 жыл бұрын
On your Aspire button you have "Title" Aspire than "Content" 14 items - mine has "Title " Aspire than "App/File Aspire. Exe. Why is mine different? I assume the you tap the Aspire button on the default page it changes to the Aspire hotkey page.

Hey great video and overload of information, which is good thank you. I was wondering if you would recommend this for a person with one hand? I am just getting into cnc work, I was an FDNY firefighter that lost my arm in a Training accident. I have vcarve pro and have been trying to figure out how to click and touch keys at the same time. Do you think this would help me? Thank you for the info and anymore your willing to share.
@LearnYourCNC2 жыл бұрын
Hey Kris, I'm not sure how well this would be with one hand but I could imagine it might be easier to do some tasks. However, Elgato(maker of Stream Deck), also makes a foot pedal that has 3 buttons on it that you can customize and I think that would work perfectly for your situation. For instance, you can set one of the foot buttons to hold the shift key while you are selecting multiple objects with your mouse. You can also customize the foot buttons differently for all your computer programs. You can find that foot pedal here: amzn.to/3WAV5qq and they also sell it as a package deal with the smaller Stream Deck 2: amzn.to/3vu7bWw Another thing that I would highly recommend to you is a mouse with customizable buttons on it. I did a video on that here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/g6HWXoyeqMSplZI The mouse would allow you to do multiple tasks with one hand. Just be aware the mouse is only made for right hands, so I am not sure which hand you have lost. I believe the mouse and foot pedal would help you the most and then you can decide if you need the Stream Deck or not. I hope that helps! -Kyle

@Learn Your CNC thank you very much. Great information and I really appreciate it. I actually seen the foot pedal when I went to your link for the stream deck. I will definitely look into that. I lost my right arm below the elbow. With that being said I was left handed prior to my accident so I already knew my difficulties living in a right handed world lol. I do have a gaming mouse but have not had any luck with programming the buttons. I should look harder but this cnc stuff for me is only a few months old. Thank you very much. Appreciate the info more then you know.
