This is your third video this novice is watching in a row. Your explanations and tips are very clear and easy to understand. I love how you break everything down to easy steps. Thanks!

Hey Blake Nice job as usual From watching others learn one of the key things to emphasize after a transition and heading downwind is to really push the front foot forward. Too many times I see people come up with their legs even and stretched out - plowing sideways. Push that front foot forward and bend that back leg to get going - much like getting up on a wakeboard behind a motorboat My 2 cents Keep up the good work

Lorenzo Majno great point.

Hey Lorenzo, Thank you! I totally agree, thanks for pointing that out. That is a very important step in making a transition. I figured twisting your body and getting small is the easiest way to start transitions. I've been trying to make the videos shorter but shouldn't miss out on all of the good stuff. Thanks again! Blake

Thanks for these beginner series of videos! It's so helpful to get some of the basic points in your head before going out on the water. I'm going for more lessons next month and looking forward to applying these tips! I haven't done a transition yet or ridden upwind, but hoping to accomplish both over a week of lessons. 👍

Hey Blake - I don't normally comment on videos, but having watched a lot of kite surfing instructional videos, many are good, but yours are above the rest. So much more clearly explained, easy to understand steps, fun, very practical and easy to understand, and to the point. Your way of instructing is a delight. A big thank you and keep it up. Where are you located these days? I'd love to catch a lesson with you some day.

Hi Blake your tutorials are simply awesome. Just please pump up the volume of those videos. I had to put YT and my OS to 100% in order to hear you. Other MACkiteboarding crew members I can hear properly.

Thanks for the feedback Lukasz. I had the same issue before I got some Rode wireless mics. Guess we need to invest in a set for Blake too. -Tucker

Hey Lukasz, glad you like them and yes I need to work on my audio! Appreciate the feedback, I am now editing these myself whereas previously Rygo was doing them. Have a lot to learn but with all these little tips they will get better every time. Thanks, Blake

Love these series. Learning so much. Do you ever give lessonsin the Miami area?
@blakeolsen97624 жыл бұрын
Hey Jean, glad to hear they are helping you out! I do not teach kiting in Miami but have some good friends that do. I haven't been teaching lessons very much but we do host kiteboarding camps throughout the year. Shoot me an email (blakemolsen@gmail.com) and I can keep you posted on those if you'd like! The last one we did was in Key West and before that Egypt. Cheers, Blake
