i think with this sort of challenge, your tools/weapons/armour/accessories/mounts should be restricted to what you find in the chests, except maybe excluding life crystals (duh) and the starting tools+weapon

What you should do is random enemies so any npc that spawns can be any other npcs (even bosses) bonus points if you do it in calamity. Also I don't think there is a mod for that but you never know🤷‍♂️ Edit: Personally, I prefer episodes.

Modder should make it so you can't get stuff unless you beat the boss. So no crazy good weapons unless you would normally be able to get it in the game already. Like no bee items unless you beat the bee. No plantera weapons unless you beat it. No zenith until you beat the moonlord.
