"We have replaced the purpose of life with the choice of lifestyle." Wow, that's insightful.

The choice of lifestyle? Are valuations being placed upon what defines a life? People defining their own purposes in life or being given purposes in life? Decisions of lifestyle being indicators of personal purpose or attempting to define others from placing purpose upon them or defining their lives for them. Doesn't sound like something someone else can replace. Only efforts to miscontextualize or distort both and validate neither. Purpose of life? Choice of lifestyle?

I loved the first episode of "Master of None" and the ode to Classic Italian Films. It wasn't what I expected going in to the season but man was it enjoyable.

I didn't personally like the video. Master of None is a great series the video isn't increasing my fondness of the series though. The conclusion of the second season a few years ago and efforts to continue the series amid aziz ansaris various other involvements. Send viewers to provide netflix with funding for getting another season going.

I seriously enjoyed this video. What an amazing job. I feel like season 2 was still as interesting if not more than season one. This is the only show where the latest season is comparably better than the first even though the first season was awesome. The editing and explanation of this video was wonderful.

What a wonderful video to watch after having just finished the second season. And that season was beautiful, some of the best "TV" I've seen. They took inspiration from the best, employed different types of storytelling, and made something special. This video essay and the movies noted in it, along with the actual show, are reminders that there are still plenty of good things in this world.

I think it is admirable that Ansari and Yang didn't just go the usual way of churning out one season every year to make maximum money. There was a 2 year gap between the season, and Aziz said 3rd season won't be made till he has experienced something in his life worth telling. "I don't have anything else to say about being a young guy being single in New York eating food around town all the time" looks like after 4 years he has found a story to tell

I LOVE the second season of Master of None, but I would say YEAH Aziz created Francesca out of his imaginary perfect Italian girlfriend inspired by those movies, which makes her totally void of any characterization. Just like what she said in the dinner party, she is JUST Italian, without any other discernible traits. This is purely my opinion though.

Why does the perfect italian buy buttloads of travel size pharmacy
@soulwarsnerd
@soulwarsnerd 6 жыл бұрын
I would say that's the point, because he's created the perfect Italian women. I disagree that she's completely void of characterization. But if that's how you feel, then I feel that enhances the show. He is in search of love, and since Dev has been watching these Italian films, Dev influences created the perfect Italian women, he's desperate for love you can see that with the British girl and Francesca end up filling that mold. She's engadeged yet Dev's wanting for a women "the perfect Italian women" from his influences we see on the desk. Francesa may not be fully happy with her marriage so she also uses Dev as a conduit. It reminds me of relationships now, we tend to think the perfect relationships are forever in the honey moon state which is not true. We only see Dev and Francesca's honey moon stage. Just like the video says is Dev really in love or is he just filling the void. Because we don't fully know Francesca it also shows Dev may not fully know her either. I think it works great. And it all makes sense with that the video says . It's all complicated and I don't if I was super clear. But I can sort of see lack of characterization which I disagree, but I don't see it as a bad thing that you do , cause to me it sort of elevates the show in another perspective. I mean this show is art and we can all see different perspective on it that's what makes art like this great.

2 questions I had while watching this video: 1) What is the line between homage and ripping off (The Thief)? 2) What is the line for being subtle about what you are homaging and not being subtle about it (The blurays in The Thief, watching the movie, and naming the actresses)?

Any more content on people of color for a while the video pertaining to model minorities held domanice on the channels recomendations. And I'll direct my complaints about the continued creation of videos for F.R.E.I.N.D.S. content persists while repeating how white the series was. Biased against minorites. Lack of diversity sounds like excuses.
