If you do all the research to buff gunnery mobs, including the ones that give you unique banners that buff gunnery mobs for whatever Lord you equip the banners to that army can be a really solid traditional gunpowder/artillery setup. The issue is you can literally only make 1 of those suped up gunnery mob armies since the banners can only apply to one army, and you can only get a single Queen Bess to support them. That's the biggest issue with the Vampire Coast roster imo. If they changed a lot of the banners to be able to just be generic faction wide researches, and they gave you an ability to get more than 1 Queen Bess I think they could work very well as a more traditional ranged/artillery faction. I could see maybe allowing 1 Queen Bess per army, rather than just 1 per faction. Any more than 1 Queen Bess per army would be pretty ridiculous though, considering it is without doubt one of the strongest artillery pieces in the game.

The biggest issue with Noctilus' campaign with regards to Ulthuan is actually the terrain. Some of the battle maps in Ulthuan are absolutely awful. Full of hills and trees that seriously disadvantage your roster and you can't just switch to a melee focused army because your melee units aren't good enough. Like seriously, it's impossible to get a good firing line on some of them. The difficulty with his campaign in WH2 was how quickly the High Elves would confederate, which was more manageable than the crappy terrain. I much preferred his campaign in WH2 also due to the map being a bit smaller and you are a bit closer to everything from the Galleon's Graveyard. I don't really get the change, because it makes it far easier for a melee focused faction to beat the High Elves in battle as they can use all the extra cover and the Elves lose their range advantage. Maybe I am not remembering correctly, but when Immortal Empires first came out I actually conquered Ulthuan so I think maybe the terrain was different?

they have the worst map design i’ve ever seen and played on i instantly start the campaign and go somewhere else and let nakari just take it

Good job. Actually did more relevant depth guide than Legenoftotalwar. Which is certainly not an easy thing to do.

I think legend just doesn't care much for the game anymore. He obviously still does vids because he gets paid a lot but you can see his love is gone. It just happens as a content creator when companies go in a direction you really disagree with. Legend doesn't care for their current choices. Another factor is he obviously was well known for his live streams but well the livestreaming meta on YT is pretty dead atm.

@@Costin_Gaming as much as I love the Warhammer series of TW games I can sympathize with getting burnt out on them WH2 is my most played game on Steam, and WH3 is rapidly approaching my top 5 as well. I've dumped a ton of time in them, but I am starting to miss the more tactics based historical games that aren't just about stacking stats, and spamming broken monsters. I'd love to see them take another crack at the Empire game tbh. TW Empire was a great setting wasted on a mediocre game. I'd love to see them try again with Empire 2.

@@Costin_Gaming Ye. That may be. His last livestream ended in that manner actually. I've been a long time fan of his work. He was not stoked at all that last stream. Can not quite blame him though. As you mentioned yourself CA have done a lot of stupid things. On the other hand IE is probably the most abitious project in RTS history. So large in fact it is defining the genre. The replayability of that is just awe inspiring. We will see what the future holds. I am cautiously optimistic. Content creators can indeed play the game to death more easily I guess.

It's funny you play as a pirate and factions ignore enemies taking their cities and instead chase you around the map!

Mortirs, carronades are really bad. I dont know what they do with vc art, but its just sheet. More profit you can get from animated hulks, wind of death and bombs from you infantry.
